I bought Badass rumble off the PS marketplace for 40$, now its 15$.

Wtf Sony? I want my damn money back that feels like a ultimate waste of my hard earned money if you were just going to lower the price like 5 days later.

Ask them politely. I'm serious. I've heard of companies retroactively extending discounts in cases such as yours.

Well, it seems like ATLUS had a PSN wide sale. Who sets the prices on PSN anyhow? Is it Sony or the actual publisher? Maybe you should be askin' ATLUS for your monies back.

It's called bad luck, learn to live with it. Happens all the time on things such as steam.

They could be nice and give you some sort of refund, but ultimately you can't demand that they compensate previous customers for lowering the price. With that logic, sales would be immoral.

What do I laugh at more: the insane logic or the fact that you believe that's a rip-off?

I mean, its truly shocking that Sony didn't take into account when you personally would be deciding to make a purchase so that they could lower their prices at a more appropriate time.

Sony ripping people off? Stop the frickin' presses.
You should probably reserve that for a scenario where someone has actually been ripped off.

Deal with it buddy, that's how life works. You weren't scammed, they just decided to have a sale and it was your bad timing which made you miss it(and missing it by five days? you really have no right to complain, one day and you might get some sympathy, but a whole week? no way).

I do wonder though, if the reverse was happening, and it was on sale but you just missed it and had to buy full price, would you still complain that you had been scammed? Just curious.

*shrugs* Yeah, it sucks but you really have no reason to be angry at Sony or Atlus over it. It really just comes down to bad luck. Get over it, realize you were not scammed, and move on. I mean you can't tell me you weren't aware things come down in price, and can go on sale.

Going to the shops in the month after Christmas must infuriate you. Seeing all those things you bought a couple of weeks ago at like half the price...

Seriously though, if you ask for a partial refund you might just get it, but I reckon you might be left bemoaning your bad luck this time around. Personally, I don't see why they should compensate you for your own poor timing, but there's no harm in asking.

Well I've had stores refund me the difference when I bought something that went on sale shortly after so give them a call and maybe you'll get lucky.
I have to check that Atlus sale out when I get home. Anybody got a full list of what's on sale?

Yeah, I laugh every time someone whines about a Steam sale ripping them off. It's happened to me, I laughed at my poor timing.

Hang out at places like slickdeals and Cheap Ass Gamer, and you'll feel like you're scamming game companies.

That's my only advice.

I bought a 3DS before the price drop. I would complain about Nintendo's member up my rear, but as a gamer from Europe it's been there for over 20 years.

You are unlucky, get over it. I would ask when the average gamer generated a feeling of such entitlement but I know most of our logic died out with console cartridges.

I've been trying to get The Walking Dead Season 1 on DVD from my work since Sunday but it's been constantly out of stock. It's only £12.99 at my work and that's before discount so it's a pretty good price. Yesterday I got fed up of waiting for it to come in I just decided to go to Blockbusters to buy it. I couldn't find it on the shelf so I asked an employee if they had any, she replies "Yes, we have one new at £19.99" I was kind of like what the hell at the price of it, but as I wasn't wanting to wait any longer I just bowed my head in shame and let them rip me off.

Felt like an idiot after it, I knew it was overpriced but I wanted it. The prices in Blockbusters are insane. Their employee uniform should be a mask and stripy jumper, robbing bastards. Still, I hadn't seen The Walking Dead when it started on TV, I'd heard great things but never watched it. After getting home and sitting and watching the whole season, I have to say despite the price difference between Blockbusters and my work it was still £20 well spent.

Also I bought Portal on Steam and then a day later Valve gave it away for free for a day to celebrate the release of Steam on Mac's.

I had something similar happen to me when Portal 2 was released. I was originally going to wait till it went on sale through Steam but crumpled after two weeks and forked over the $60. The next day Gamestop started selling it for $30. My reaction was thus:
