Well it was my birthday just yesterday, and I decided that I'd go check the escapist. When I logged on, I discovered that some person I have never even interacted with on the forums before sent me an inbox to wish me a happy birthday.

This happened to me too a few months back (same person) and we had a few PMs flying back and forth for a few days.
I've quoted him a few times in the forums etc and he's one of the more/most active people on here and it was a very nice gesture from him. Overall (like most Escapees) he seems like a really nice guy.
