So its the 21st here in New Zealand. Seems as though we haven't all died yet as predicted.
Thoughts? Anyone here genuinely surprised?

I remember my ex lover telling a long time ago about me how much sex we will have on the days before the 21st. Now all I can picture is her fucking the Italian she left me for. I'll probably spend today cleaning my room.personion said:Well, something. I'm not really clear on that. Let's just assume that it will be some sort of combination of global flooding, aliens, zombies, World War 3, and superblackholes. I'm going to spend the apocalypse in an end of the world party. How about you guys?
It's currently summer in the southern hemisphere, so it would be DST for them, so yes it is past midnight.ClockworkPenguin said:It can't be the 21st anywhere for at least half an hour. GMT is in the middle, nowhere is more than 12 hours ahead or behind of us, so it can't possibly reach the 21st elsewhere before we reach noon here. Unless you have some equivalent of BST where you add an extra hour on.
Ah, that makes sense. On the other hand, daylight savings is a modern invention (and the gergorian calander isn't, lol). I doubt the apocalypse took it into account.Stasisesque said:It's currently summer in the southern hemisphere, so it would be DST for them, so yes it is past midnight.ClockworkPenguin said:It can't be the 21st anywhere for at least half an hour. I don't think they knew what time zones are, so I don't think so. And back when this calendar was created, I don't think there was one consistent time in every time zone like it is now.A Raging Emo said:I always did wonder how this was going to work. Well, by they should have predicted that there would be time zones when they created the calender.Queen Michael said:I don't think they knew what time zones are, so I don't think so. Or maybe the apocalypse is just localized and slowly moving it's way across the globe.Rose and Thorn said:Yeah 6:31 AM of the 20th in Canada. We still got a day to go. I wouldn't dismiss the apocolypse until it is atleast the 21st EVERYWHERE, even then you still have wait all day for something to happen.
But there's already mutant monsters stalking your country, such as bird eating spiders. How will you tell?kman123 said:One hour until go time! Cannot wait.
We're in Australia here.
