So, it all started when I woke up this morning.

I woke up to the sound of my mom talking to my dad, via phone, in a panicked voice and the sound of the bathtub faucet running.

What was the problem? The bathtub faucet wouldn't turn off, and on top of that because of the cold temperatures last night the bathtub drain was frozen. So the tub was filling up. There was the real possibility of it overflowing, eventually.

The only saving grace was the fact we have to keep the water pressure low because we have older pipes.

So, what did I do? I grabbed the trashcan, took out the trash bag, and stuck it under the tub's faucet. While my mom turned the washing machine on in order to steal pressure.

Eventually, my dad got home and shut off the valves to the bathtub. So no our home did not get flooded, and yes we still have working sinks and toilet.

Think that's the end of it? Not quite. After the whole water emergency had come to an end we noticed something missing from our front yard.

You see we foster dogs and cats. Guess what was missing from the front yard? Yup, the dog we are currently fostering. Our front yard has two large gates. My dad, in his infinite wisdom, had taking our trash container to the side of road and closed the gate with just a chain instead of the chain and padlock.

Well, the chain alone didn't keep the gate closed and it was open just enough for the dog to get out. Luckily our neighbor's dogs caught his attention. We found him hanging out in their yard. He squeezed through their front gate and their dogs are in pens.

So... yeah.

Has your day been as "fun-filled" as mine?

My day's been really boring. I had nothing to do at work, so I came home and waited for my Chevelle cd to get here. It still hasn't :(

I'm assuming this is sarcasm, in which case, don't be so negative dude.
Think about it: Your house didn't flood and the dog was found. I'd be relieved, not annoyed, if I were you.
Smile :)

My day sucked. My car's front brake gave out and then I got pulled over and given a ticket because my license plate didn't match my car, even better, I was on my way to pick up my new car which I had transferred the plate for. I was also late picking up my friend from school because of this.

I've had a cold and a headache for the past two weeks or so, and I haven't been able to taste or smell anything but piss the entire time. I tried taking some aspirin (for about the first time in my life), but it didn't do anything and I can't take anything stronger because I'm no good with capsules...and I don't know how long this damn thing will take for me to get over, or if I won't get a relapse just in time to ruin Christmas.

Eh. My day's alright. School was kinda meh, but in orchestra, we're finally sounding alright.
I've got band practice later, which is great, but I still have a little homework that I'm avoiding. I just really don't feel like reading and annotating Lord of the Flies right now.

Oh believe me. I am extremely relieved and thankful that it turned out as well as it did.

Of course, during these "emergencies" I was like "well this day sucks."

Dude, if those are your main problems in life, you better be grateful. I'm guessing you're still relatively young so enjoy it, because as you get older things will spiral downward. Endlessly.

I had one of my wisdom teeth removed. Fun is definitely not a word I would use to describe today.

I ran about a mile, went out with a friend and got Thai food, and bought the latest Grieves album at a local CD store.

I've had a grand day! Sorry to hear about yours being not so grand.

My day was actually rather fun, starting around 6th period (the third period of the day, even/odd schedule).

I have Catering that period, and we were to clean up and organize the room and just make it look pretty all around. My friends Rendell, Gomez and I were responsible for cleaning and organizing the various bookshelves all around. When we got to the first one, there was a medium sized box overflowing with paper to be recycled. Wishing to tidy up, we asked the teacher if we should take that somewhere. She told us to head to the library and see drop it off there.
All three of us set off initially, but it was only a two man job (one to carry the box and the other to carry the papers that wouldn't really fit in the box), so Gomez stayed behind to clean. So, Rendell and I moseyed on to the library, I carrying the box and him the paper. We got to the librarian and saw that the librarian was on the phone in her office, so we waited some. I noticed no assistants were at the front desk, and a girl was there in need of aid, so I, being a library TA for another period, went over and helped her out real quick. I returned and the librarian was off the phone, so Rendell and I told her that the Catering teacher had asked us to take the recycling paper here, and asked where we should put it.
The librarian told us that the bins they had for recycled paper was just about full, and asked us if we'd mind taking them out, tempting us with cookies and candy bars for doing so. We agreed. We dumped our box into the bins, filling them, and she told us to go to the main office to grab a cart to carry the bins on. We grabbed the hall pass and did just that. There was some art on display in the office, and a class had come and seen it. It took us a minute to request the cart and to get it through the throng of people, but we managed, returned to the library to get the cans, and set off. I pushing the cart and Rendell holding them steady on it, we ventured outside into the sunny cold. In the shady areas you could see snow that had not yet melted, but the sky was blue and cloudless. If it weren't for the dead trees, you'd think it was summer just by looking. We wheeled the cart toward the dumping area and were confronted with several dumpsters. Unfortunately, of the four that were there, only one of them was for recycling, and that also happened to be the one that was sealed off save for two square holes, thus crushing our hopes of just pouring the contents of the bins out. We had to manually grab stacks of paper and shove them in the squares. During the work, we reflected on our current situation: Much time had elapsed and we'd strayed significantly from our initial task. But oh well.
We wheeled the cart back inside and into the office. One of the attendees, who was not present when we'd grabbed the cart, asked if we'd already finished. We replied yes, "why?" She said she had some more papers that could go out. So they put some more papers in our trash cans and we went back, this time leaving the bins behind. It took us a while to notice, but Rendell's nose had started bleeding, but that didn't hamper our progress. We dumped the new papers, went back inside and to the library to return the trash cans, grabbed our now empty recycling box and left, forgetting to claim our prize (I didn't really want one anyway, though). When we returned to the Catering room, the teacher demanded to know why we took so long. We recounted the story, and I remarked that it felt like a long, drawn out fetch quest. Rendell replied by holding up his phone and playing this as the story drew to a close:

All in all, a pretty good day.

well my school is open tomorrow...
not bad in itself. except a school built by the same company with the same design is closed tomorrow over a high wind warning.
the high wind warning issued by my schools council, not theirs.

today, pretty average.

My day started at 4am when my drunk housemate got back from town yelling that he was the goddamn Batman.

Then it was three incomprehensible lectures, heavy workload, and lost my library card. Thankfully nothing as bad as you OP.
