I loved Digimon adventures 1 & 2 growing up. Season 3 started out alright but I fell out of the loop sometime into it. Hungry for more nostalgia and regret that I lost my digivice in the move (Have you seen what those are selling for on ebay now?). Anybody know if any of the digimon video games were good?

The Digimon Card video game was fun.

You'd summon the card, a 3-D model of the Digimon would appear and it would do their attck to the other Digimon.

I think it was for PS2 or PS1. I can't remember which, though.

All I know is that I had a blast with it as a kid.

EDIT: If you want a Super Smash Bros. Clone, look for Digimon Rumble Arena 2. It was pretty good.

There was a game I played ages ago that I think was called Digimon World. I don't know if its any good now, but I had blast with it when I was a kid. It was like a semi-pokemon based rpg.

I preffered the original rumble arena but each to their own I guess, The Digimon Masters MMO is cool too.

I agree with this, it was for the PS1 I think, and you got a digimon that could grow into a pretty decent number of advanced forms, though that is about as much as I remember of it

Digimon World (for the ps1), doesn't have the best graphics, but it does have the best digimon experience possible. It's a tremendously goodgame.

Other then that, i suggest the Rumble Arenas... They're short and do not have many digimons, but they are extremely fun, and i had a blast playing them when i was a kid.

But other then those no... there isn't any good digimon games out there...

The digiworld 2 was too rpg like wich kinda ruined what could be a great set of a serie, digimon world 3 was kinda good... it grabbed good elements from D.W.2, and provided a much larger world, filled with much more story in a chibbit cartoonish way... unfortenatly there are so many loading screens that it will break the pace of the game, and the leveling system is rather weak... you would be needing to train a LOT just to have decent digimon... DigimonWorld 4 was... a real wtf... digimon with swords.... /facepalm...

If they picked up digimon 4, took out the swords, introduced the leveling system from DA2, the variety of DA1, used the gameplay of DA4 and the story of DA3, they would have the perfect digimon game....

Oh well... and the MMO, takes all your freedom to move around, has no story and you can only choose between 3 digimon's... (i think they promised more digimons, but the game has so many cons, that the pros are now worth it).

First off, watch Season 3, best of the series hands down.

And despite the stigma card games have, definitely pick up Digimon Card Battle for the PS1. It's a legitimately great game.

I had one of those Tamagotchi-type things that was for Digimon. Whilst it's not really a proper game, I had hours of fun with that thing as a child.

Also this. On the whole I always preferred the other available shows when I was a kid, like Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z, but I think season three of Digimon was up there with the best of what either of those, or anything else, had to offer.
