Another shameless grab at attention? of course, since that seems to be all WBC seem to do these days. What i wonder is why Ryan Dunn? As usual the Church has given conflicting and sporadic accounts of WHY they will attempt the picket Dunn's funeral, but its gotten to an extent that they really don't need one, and are probably only doing this to grasp desperately at some form of attention.

I can't help but wonder why they seem to want to picket Dunn, i think we can all acknowledge that he wasnt exactly a paragon of perfection, but what makes him such a target?

Any thoughts? is anyone seriously surprised?

Not surprised.

However, this could end ugly. You know... People who participate on the show don't tend to care too much about consequences

Good, maybe the jackass crowd and the WBC crowd will get themselves arrested and killed.

/no sympathy for a man who killed himself and someone else by driving drunk, famous or not.
//Ebert has it right on this one.

They don't really need a reason because haters gonna hate.

-Shrug-

I'm very unsurprised, the Westboro Baptist Church is batshit and will forever remain so until they're all crushed under their own constantly growing pile of ignorance and general bullshit. I don't know, they're already outrageous and have pissed me off/frightened me/make me uncomfortabe so many times already all I can do is sigh.

I hope some thing terrible happens to the memebers of the westboro church while their protesting. That way I can show up to their funerals and protest them.

I honestly refuse to believe that WBC is anything but some immensely long-winded prank. Their message is so patently ridiculous that I just can't envision ANYONE actually being serious about it...

Then again, I've been wrong before.

EDIT: Because apparently I can't spell.

I'm not sure, to be honest. I don't think he was gay or Jewish. Was he a soldier? I guess they just want the media attention that the funeral might bring. I don't know, but that's just damn inconsistent. If you're going to be an asshole protest group that condemns people when their friends and families are at their absolute emotional lowest, at least have the decency to form a pattern.

It'll be freaking hilarious to see if the Jackass crew cooks something up for them, though.

I can't see the Jackass crew taking this well, especially Bam...

These people really need to see what they are doing to other people's lives.

I don't see this going very well at all given the crew Dunn was friends with. I can see Margera and company doing something interesting in retaliation.

They would picket a group of people that dedicate themselves to messing with everyone and anyone including themselves for the sake of entertainment? Bad news for Westboro...good news for the Jackass crew.

Pretty sure he doesn't considering that wasn't confirmed, last time I checked. I know he posted pictures I don't think its known how much was drunk, and the police didn't specify anything about that.

OT: Can't imagine the Jackass lot taking too kindly to that.

I didn't really like "Jackass" but picketing anyone's funeral, who isn't somebody completely evil (see:hitler) is just upsetting.

I DO NOT APPROVE, WBC!

Ryan Dunn was not exactly a saint, but still this is tasteless even for WBC. I wonder how long the people of the US will put up with this crap. I know there is such a thing as freedom of speech, but speaking ill of the dead like this makes me want to consider if we should limit it.

If WBC people even remotely resembled Christians, they will at least let the family and friends mourn Dunn's passing. I wonder what WBC would think if people they don't even know show up at their church and piss on the walls. It's funny that in their quest to rid the world of (what they claim to be) evil, they are rapidly becoming the villain of their own story.

The Westboro baptist church seriously thinks they can get away with fucking with the Jackass crew, on their friends Funeral? No this isn't going down as 'a quiet' protest. The Jackass guys aren't known for being quiet even at the best of times. They will fight the WBC legal or not.

If he was sober and it was a blowout, or something like that. Hell, even if he was just tired, then I will feel REALLY guilty about what I said. I don't want to see anyone hurt. I wish it didn't happen.

If he was drunk I will stick by my comment about not feeling sorry for someone who murdered his friend because he did not have the balls to call a cab.

And as far as hoping the Jackass crew getting into hurt or killed over this, I don't really mean that. Although I think even they would not care if they got in trouble doing something to the WBC that was both mean and funny. Maybe firing Johnny on the spots (Full obviously) from a trebuchet?

The WBC is HOPING and PRAYING for someone to start something at this funeral. Then sue the crap out of whomever does, all they want is money. The people attending this funeral are prime targets for the way WBC funds itself.
