WH40K mmo

what would you guys think of a warhammer 40k mmo?
if one popped up, i would instantly quit wow and grab it
i know it would be really hard to get to work, but if someone pulled it off, would you play it?

I would be interested, for sure, and there are many rumors flying around about it. Butitwill be hard towork with. I think the only plausible idea is to make it abou the inquisition, and you get to pick a part in the retinue (warrior, psycer, etc.)

I'd like to see it. I'm really excited for Dawn of War 2 already.

I just hope they make it before Blizzard tries to one-up them with a StarCraft MMO.

I don't even play MMO's, I don't seem to relate to my avatar at all. But a 40k MMO would be fantasticle, I'm really into 40k now ever since Dawn of War as you can tell by my name. And Dawn of War 2 is going to come out soon, and so will my pants when it does. I think all the races will be playable, at least by the end of it, if you couldn't play as your favorite race then it just wouldn't be Warhammer. Although all the races hate each other, so it would be pretty difficult creating sides. You couldn't really fit everything into the forces of Order and Chaos. For one the Orkz belong in neither, they just love the Waaaaaaagh!

But regardless GO 40K!

That wouldn't be too bad to do, considering the Dark Heresy RPG (pen-and-paper, that is) that was released last year. It'd be pretty sweet, considering the content of that RPG, but I think it wouldn't really sell as well as you'd think.

Truth be told, though, I'd almost consider it an idea that is too big to be done. I mean, if you really wanted to do it justice, you'd have to implement the space travel system from something like EVE Online with the combat from something like Tabula Rasa. I mean, the 40k universe is just that: a universe. In my opinion, you wouldn't be able to do it properly unless you managed to show the traveling system they use between planets.

Besides, if they did include that, stuff like an Exterminatus would be possible. And, really, how is that a bad thing?

To summarize, really, I don't think that they could do it justice, at least not yet. There's some serious issues that would need to be dealt with, and it would have to be about a hundred times as in-depth as WoW just to be a believable simulation of the 40k universe, which is just insane.

It won't work in my opinion; you can't have a huge battle when everyone participating is a hero unit.

Plus it would be hell balancing it.
