I live in the south, so nerds aren't very welcome where I live, so finding one is rare. I am considering moving and I want to know if there are certain cities or towns that have the most gamers, nerds, etc. Do you have any suggestions?

EDIT: What I consider a nerd is someone who plays games besides Black Ops. Some one who plays stuff by Bioware and other RPGs.

Your best chance is moving to a city, and staying away from towns. As for general areas, well, the more people there are, the more likely it will be that you find others with similar interests. If you find that the south doesn't seem to have a lot of what you consider to be 'nerds' then move north. Ultimately though, try to move somewhere you think you'll enjoy, rather than somewhere you believe there may be more people with similar interests, 'cause if you find yourself not enjoying your physical surroundings you'll end up a lot more frustrated on a regular basis, leading you to want to move again, which is costly and time consuming. So, put aside your wish to find others with similar interests, and consider what's the best location for you personally and career/job wise. Once you move, find a job, and get settled down, I'm sure you'll find some people with similar interests.

Worse comes to worse, and you don't find a lot of people with similar interests, there's always places like this. Posting and getting to know others with similar interests online of course means it's unlikely you'll physically hang out with them, but technology these days allows us to talk and play with one another through most anything, so it certainly still counts for something.
