Due to the lack of Christmassy threads and my constant wanting to learn about other countries, i've made this thread.

Basically, i'd like to know what part of the world you're from and if you have any special way of celebrating Christmas there.

I'm from England and so i get tipsy, eat until i'm ready to burst and watch telly with the family.

I suspect this may be a common theme all over the globe...

I watch everyone else get tipsy and stuff themselves and then slip out for a nice walk in the usually frosty weather. Hope there's snow this year

Work, come home, be very bored, decide to finally watch Wallace & Gromit in A matter of Loaf and Death, be very bored again, celebrate a bit with my family wich to a very great part includes eating dinner, give gifts, go to sleep, wake up, watching and gaming for the next two days.

Should be a pretty exact account of what i'll do.

Annual family party Christmas Eve, that's always fun. Presents over my parent's house Christmas morning, then off to my aunt's for dinner, and finally to my grandmother's for desserts and more presents. We also just had a big snow storm, started Friday afternoon and ended Sunday night, so there will be plenty of snow left over by Thursday.

Go to my grandparents on Christmas Eve, come back and open presents with my Dad, go to my Mom's house and sleep, wake up and have Christmas with her and our family on my Mom's side, wait a little while, and then go to my grandmother's house for Christmas dinner. I like spending time with my family...

This is quite funny as I asked a friend this and his response was "Yo mama"

It makes sense even if it was lame.

Anyway I will not do much...

It makes sense?

*Confusion reigns*

No he was just goofing off, I came in and asked and he yells "Yo MAMA!".

He was in tears laughing as soon as he realized what just happened.

It all makes sense now...

I'll wake up and open my presents, retreat to my bedroom to mess around with them only to leave to gather some of the food stuffs then back to my room to play them once more, also I'll try to unsuccessfully get my xbox connected to my computer but hopefully this time it works.

I'm an expat that is going home (UK) for the first time in two years. So it will be gorge myself on foods I can't get usually, washed down with cheap wine. See family and stuff, vegitate watching tv and playing Dissidia.
If I had stayed here (Japan), I would have gone to work on Xmas day, and come home to eat a lonely slice of strawberry shortcake (what passes for xmas cake here...)

On Christmas, I don't do much. My extended family and I just have a big linner and talk. We're not doing presents this year. (Finally)! On Christmas Eve is where the fun is. My close family goes to Kansas City for a day on the town and lunch at a kinda nice restaurant.

I have to work on Christmas! So I was wondering what you people would be doing while I'm slaving away at my latest report. This may give me ideas for next year when I hopefully will not be at work!

Well, every Christmas Eve, I go to the nearest city with a lot of people to have a nice lunch and just walk around the mall and its immediate vicinity. The stores have some new Christmas decorations every year. On New years eve I just have a glass or two of champagne at midnight. It's fun, though.
