I've been listening to the Undertale cover album Determination. Anytime I beat a game that I really enjoyed and it has a killer soundtrack I listen to it over-and-over for a week or two.

Here's one of my favs from the album:

Well, played through GTA 5 again, and there's a part with this wonderful track that I love oh-so-much.

I've been listening these two songs back to back, as if they were their own little story. I think that was the point? Not sure, not a fan of the rest of the album.

And then to relax a bit before bed I throw this on.

I've been all over Rabbit Junk's latest EP for months, with very little signs of slowing down. Metal, electronic and hip-hop influences, it's fucking delicious.

On my phone, can't be bothered linking, but been rocking out to the new Iggy Pop album, is fucking excellent.

Also, Jack White's Lazaretto, and Herbie Hancock's Imagine Project. Both great albums.

I've been listening to practically the entire BlazBlue CPEX soundtrack since it came out on Steam now (aside from whatever the fuck Tager's music is anyway, that track fuckin' triggers me in game) but Celica's music? Crystal Forest? I'm not 100% on the entire track but the intro is godlike. I don't really like her gameplay, she looks like Noel 2.0 to me but with even less depth to her play (somehow) but that MUSIC though. Plus the match intro vs her as a Terumi player is pretty great. She's like the Anti-Terumi in canon or something. It's BlazBlue so it's weird and convoluted and intentionally badly explained.

"Celica A Mercury... Ugh, get AWAY from me!"

Terumi has a lot of unique intros and outros actually. 'S fuckin' cool.

Okay...just. Hamilton is just so phenomenal. How it doesn't in the very least have a single subpar song with a 50 song soundtrack beats me. Not wholly accurate to history, but still so damn fine of an album and musical. It just does so many things right and I'm honestly not surprised Lin-Manuel Miranda got a Genius award with this sort of talent and I'm even more amped for Disney's next film Moana knowing he's working on it.link here for playlist of songs

Yes, it's really that hard to pick just 1-3 favorites from just the first half of the musical, that's how good the songs are.

No biggie. Not a big fan of them but I particularly like that single. New album from them is out in a month, by the way.

Currently:
Electric Ladyland - Jimi Hendrix
Vega Intl. Night School - Neon Indian
No Love Deep Web - Death Grips
Government Plates - Death Grips

More EL than anything else right now to be honest. The other albums are more revisits, especially Neon Indian since I first listened to it way back in November, but I've been going back to it recently. It's quite a catchy and relaxing album and for some reason that is my jam right now.

RE: EL, it's my first proper album venture into Jimi's territory. Like everyone else I've tried a 'greatest hits' album and enjoyed a few tracks off of it but never really revisited. Last month I was trying to cleanse my palate again from listening to too much Death Grips with The Black Keys and some pop-rock with blues influences (on which note, if you liked The Black Keys' early work, definitely try Chulahoma, it's an absolutely fantastic cover EP).

After a while, I got tired of it and wanted something more aggressive. Considering DG takes influence from Hendrix (according to MC Ride at least), I gave EL a try cause it was apparently his 'best album' according to some people. And by God it's great. I love the production, it's so damn good that it's unfair; the track composition is so well laid out that every song weaves effortlessly into the next one (with the exception of Watchtower and Slight Return, although that might be because they're two very distinct, iconic tracks put right next to one another with nothing to give us a pause in between); the guitar work is just mind-blowingly great as it is always, but the production takes it to another level, and the soundscapes...

I'm in love with this album. It's safe to say it's my favourite Guitar-central/Rock/Blues/whathaveyou album of all time so far. There isn't a song here I dislike cause of how well put together everything is. I used to really hate Burning of The Midnight Lamp, but now I genuinely like it, and 1983/A Merman I Turn Out To Be is just an absolutely fantastic song both in message and in soundscape. It's such a striking contrast tonally to Voodoo Chile (the 15 min version) but they both work together so perfectly that they remind me of TPAB's 'u' and 'i' tracks.

House is Burning Down sounds like the guitars are dipped in oil or something, Crosstown Traffic is a delightfully punchy pop son, Gipsy Eyes has just a really strut-like defiant cool about it... every single track here is just great.

Albums lined up:
Black on Both Sides - Mos Def
Pawn Hearts - Van Der Graaf Generator (recommendation from a friend and he knows who he is)
Sunbather - Deafheaven
Helplessness Blues - Fleet Foxes
Silver Mount Zion - Fuck Off Get Free We Pour Light on Everything

I've been mostly listening to the Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso soundtrack and Clannad soundtrack.
It's pretty good background music for pretty much everything.

New Stuff: I'll need to make time to listen to Amon Amarth's new album, though I guess that technically released in March.

Beyond that, I've been mostly enjoying some of my favorites from the last few years:

Making my way through Sabaton's discography, breaking it up with some Lindsey Stirling, also on the playlist is what I listened to during late last year, namely the two Glitch Mob albums and the Metal Gear Rising soundtrack. Also, rediscovered one of my favourite bands from high school, The Cult. That about covers it for now.

This month has been a real struggle. I was already in the dumps and feeling like the world didn't need me, then today I lost a few friends because of my depression (it's a cycle that happens every couple of years). Now I don't know where to turn. But this song comforts me in some way. Listening to the lyrics, I keep hoping that I can meet someone who feels this way about me.

Maybe someday.

Heh, I thought I lost a (cyber, thou!?) friend yesterday, but it took him an hour to return to his senses. I was just silently biting my tongue, giving him the chance which he used in the end. Maybe it's not all lost?

Anyway, a little tribute to R.I.P. Black - I had it on repeat throughout the day:
