I know this has been done before, but I've had a bit of...I dunno, cosmic garbage, maybe, smack me in the head and I realized that I listen to different stuff at different times of the day. Case in point: It's one thirty in the morning here, the kid is in bed and the wife is in the other room. I'm sitting in the computer room, "internetting" and listening to Strapping Young Lad as loudly as I can get away with, but tomorrow morning when I'm back in family man mode again, I'll be lucky if I can manage some Sublime. So, fellow Escapists, be it the dead middle of night, the harsh light of day, or the winter of your discontent, what's it sound like in there?

It's interesting to note that Hector Berlioz was so ahead of his time, his music was often percieved as simple, random noise by contemporary audiences. In one of his original sheet music scripts, he actually included a note to the conductor: "Please - make no corrections!"
