Lose weight (again). Seriously consider getting another furry critter to run around my house that is not the legion of squirrels in the wall. Try to keep in contact with my loved ones. Use online forums less. Try to rekindle the spark in my relationship. Spend more time being intellectually stimulated instead of browsing reddit. Stop bothering with correcting people on the Titanic conspiracy.

Whoops, wrong thread. Anyway, my resolution for this new year is to do more out of the house. And maybe be a little less cynical. Speaking of which, I really hope this year is less sucky than the last one...

Pretty much for humanity to be less dicks to each other but at this point, that is asking for too much! Oh and the general happiness.

Well, I hope no wars are started in the next year, I'm a little worried about that :p

I'm also starting a new job in the new year, and I hope that goes well.

Resolutions are a bit standard, lose a bit of weight, see family more, try and not be as broke as I was this year.

And.. I dunno if this counts as a hope or resolution seeing as I know it's going to happen, but me and the boyfriend are planning on getting engaged in the new year. We were hoping to do it this year, but money was an issue and it just kept getting put off. (Not to mention, neither of us really knows much about getting engaged or weddings).

So yeah, that's me. Hope you all have a Happy New Year too.

To not be nuked.

After hearing an estimate that 75% of ISIS's members are now KIA after the battles in Syria, is it too much to hope for to see the last 25% in the next year?

For the Wonder Woman movie to be good.

Closer to home, to get a new car without any of the problems my old one currently has- it's over 15 years old now and still kicking. To get better at home cooking. To finish my post-Fusion Metroid story.

I wish for more salt. We had plenty this year, more then I can ever remember, but there will never be enough.

Also, as means to that end, for the Dutch and the Germans to be liberated from their corrupt establishments in their coming elections.

Giving up drinking for the year, for both financial reasons and to keep me on task through what is planned out to be a long and difficult year. Finishing education, another home move, figuring out living expenses on top of other personal goals... Just no time to be dealing with nights out like there was this year.

That we manage to somehow avoid Armageddon. That the 2nd holocaust doesn't happen.

Personally? Well I gotta find a new job pretty soon. Money is running out.

To go back to the gym, and consistently. Managed for a while last year, before losing it for most of this year.

For more and more people to turn against Trump. And for me to get more rare sweets and cookies for my collection.

A job. Or a more decent job. I've been freelancing, but it's difficult to get by with that.

Getting engaged is straightforward and free, you just agree you're going to get married at some unspecified point in the future (you may or may not tell other people, but then there's there whole nonsense of whether you need a ring, etc. - you don't, but some people like them). Getting married is unnecessarily expensive, though I understand not as expensive as getting divorced, so don't do that.
