If you had the opportunity to see any band play one of their albums live, what would it be? I'm talking about a band starting at track 1 and playing through the entire album on stage. One after the other. This is any time period, so you're not stuck with only bands within your lifetime.

Mine would be Guns 'n Roses Appetite for Destruction. I'm talking peak GnR.

Dream Theater playing Metropolis Part 2: Scenes From a Memory. I saw a tribute band play it earlier in the year and they did a pretty good job, but seeing the actual thing would be so amazing.

The Allman Brothers Band, Live at Fillmore East.

One of the greatest musicians of the last century got taken so young. Only a handful of people, relatively speaking, ever got to see the Allman Brothers work their miracles. To see Gregg and Duane up on that famous stage with the group would be an irreplaceable memory.

So, watching the band play a live album. Guess that works. Kind of cheating, but I did say any album.

I'd love to see Elvis Costello perform This Year's Model with the Attractions (not the Impostors, it's just not the same) or Iggy Pop perform Lust for Life, with Bowie on guitar and backing vocals, of course.

What else can I say? ^This^. I've seen the DVD Live Scenes from New York, and my parents got to see the show, but I'd love to see it myself.

1. Rome; any album. Preferably Masse Mensch Material, Confessions d'Un Voleur d'Ames or Flowers From Exile
2. Therion; any album (it was pretty awesome when they played entire Theli album. I'd like to hear Vovin, Secret of the Runes or Sirius B/Lemuria)
3. Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio; Apocalips
4. Laibach; Volk

That's about it, for now. I'm pretty indecisive so any of these would be fine for me.

I've seen pretty much the entire thing on YouTube (except for Home, the song I wanted to see most!), I searched all over the city here for a copy of it and only one place had it, and they were selling it for $41. As much as I like Dream Theater, I don't reckon it was worth it so I went and bought their 20th anniversary DVD, Score, which is also fucking awesome.

Score is fucking amazing. You could probably find a cheaper copy of Live Scenes on eBay or Amazon. Not sure though, I've never checked. $41 is definitely not worth it, especially with the annoying guy who plays the therapist/psychologist. I think that they should have just had Petrucci or LaBrie do it instead.

I'd see Nirvana live and I wouldn't care which album (because I'd be wondering things such as: "How is Kurt Cobain singing after blowing off the top half of his head?")

I'd love to see Iron Maiden do either Somewhere In Time, or Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. That, or Opeth do Morningrise.

Devin Townsend playing from his awesome Ziltoid The Omniscient cd, he is quite possibly the only person I'd pay to see live.
