First of all, I'm not adding a poll because there are way too many internet browsers and I just don't feel like making one right now.

So... What is the internet browser that you use and the homepage/homepages that accompany it?

I have Mozilla Firefox(seemed better than Internet Explorer at the time) coupled with my personal IGoogle homepage. I chose it because any other would seem rather bland, and I wanted something that I could get creative with, if not enjoy to see every time I pressed Start and clicked on "Internet."

Firefox! and just the Firefox default page usually, but occasionally if there's a website I need to keep visiting and feel I might forget about it, I set my homepage to that site... Right now I have it set to a website for a store I go to that sells nice jeans, because I'm waiting for another one of their sales and like to keep checking up (lack of funds, sucks) :(

Chrome. Why use a homepage when I can just click on the page I wish to visit and go there? The browser itself loads up quick enough to make having a homepage unneeded.

Also, incognito mode. Gotta love that thing...

I use Opera. Someone on Escapist IRC recommended it to me last year when IE kept failing, so I started using it and never stopped.
As for homepages, every time I start up Opera, it opens with all the tabs from the previous session open.
The Escapist would be my homepage, but I always start with about two dozen tabs open.
Actually, 35 tabs at the moment. And I recently closed the better part of a dozen, so it is safe to say I have a lot of tabs in use :p
Then again, if you counted pages that opened on start up as homepages, then I currently have 35...

Why? just why do you need 35 tabs open at once?

OT: I use firefox currently, but I have used Opera in the past. Right now, my homepage is Google, but I have a Hitchhiker's Guide skin on it.

So true, although Firefox is ranked higher on my RocketDock, therefore making it superior.

Also, Google is my homepage, simple.

I think Firefox will import them for you.

I need those tabs to keep a watch on certain things. Allows me to split my attention.
Nine of those 35 tabs are on the Escapist. A few on different wikis, a few images, and a dozen or so other sites.
I may need to get more tabs...

Depending on what I'm doing, I've had at least double that at times. I open things to read later or leave things open that I go back to repeatedly, and when I'm working on more than one thing at once, I can have a whole bunch of reference materials open. It's both better and worse now that I have two computers I use at the same time. I tend to have fewer on either computer than I used to on just one, but between the two combined it's sometimes more total than I did with just one browser on one computer. Oh well. RAM's cheap.

I tend to use Firefox on my PC (whether in Windows or Linux), Safari on my Mac (although getting kind of sick of it lacking Firefox extensions and might switch to that if it finally doesn't feel out of place on OS X like older versions did), and w3m occasionally because I'm special. Oh, and I use IE to download Firefox. Heh.

As far as my homepage goes, it is and always has been about:blank. Probably always will be. Why in the world do I need my browser to load up random crap every time I open a new window/tab, when it's almost never going to be what I actually want, no matter what I set it to?

I used to use Firefox, but then I switched to Safari...

There wasn't too much of a reason, its just than whenever I click a link or whatever from msn or something, it automatically opens with Safari on my Mac...

So I decided it was better to just use one constantly rather than switch from one browser to another.

Opera for the win.

My "homepage" is speed dial, or the tab set I had open when I closed it last (whatever applies).

I use Firefox, and when I magically don't close it with five windows open, this wonderful site is my home page.
