So as the title says what DC superhero do you think should get a game and how would they play.
Bonus points since I was thinking about this in regards to the Batman Arkham games if you can think of a game mechanic that would allow them to cross over into the Arkham games. My example is a Flash video game. Give him a bigger open world than Batman.
New York sized and make it his run comes in two forms. Super speed that lets him shoot threw the city maybe offering the ability to react when you are about to hit buildings and a slow mo mode where the world slows down but you still move at normal speed. I know this is not that original but I think a combo fighting system would fit this and the slow mo mode would allow for some amazing acrobatics stuff as you propel yourself threw the air and run up buildings.

When Tomb Raider came out I just imagined if you re skinned Lara into Green Arrow you could make it into a Green Arrow game. Obviously the story would need to be changed but the mechanics would mostly work. Just drop the guns and add more types of arrows. Also it would work pretty well in a Batman crossover as Arrow could be about long distance stealth while Batman goes in close. They could do co-op levels working in tandem to clear out enemy bases.

Green Lantern. Metroidvania style game with a level up system, limited flying and powerfs based on the charge level of your ring. You'd be able to create and use more elaborate and more powerful (and weird) lantern moves as you level up.

I want a Kaldur'ahm game, Superman and Wonder Woman should be able to have their own worth while games, but I want a game based around Kaldur. In the water it can focus on agility, and on land the tools at his disposal, combat could be focused on something like Devil May Cry.

Forget the superhero, lets have a Gotham Central game.
Play as a detective solving crime(s) in a city gone to hell and overrun with corrupt cops, mobsters and bat-shit-crazy mutants/psychos/vigilantes.
Seriously, even include a mechanic where if you stray too far from the righteous path, "the Bat" shows up and decks you.

Hell, there's even a justification for the mother of all Deus Ex Machinas; just as you're about to lose to the final boss and the city is about to be destroyed "WhateverflavouroftheDCmonth-man" shows up to save the day, roll credits...

Rather than wanting Arkham Asylum with Flash or Tomb Raider with Green Arrow or Devil May Cry with Kaldur, just play Arkham Cityland 4, Tomb Raider 2, or DMC2.

Shoehorning a character into a video game for the sake of having a video game is half the reason why almost all movie/franchise games suck. They all started with taking a title character and poorly designing a game around them. Worse yet, many took themes and gameplay from preexisting games and haphazardly shoved a required titular character in.

Make a good game first, then you add the flavor and fluff.

Probably Green Arrow.. and I think it should be rocksteady who makes it..a stealthy, hunter type game where green arrow stalks his prey and can unleash numerous, upgradeable arrows would be pretty cool

Instincts say Green Arrow.
He'd make an interesting twist on the existing Arkham gameplay. Less mobile (no gliding or Bat grapple), more climbing, longer ranged combat, good shooting mechanics, maybe something like VATS. Zipline arrows to rapidly move from high ground to lower ground, grappling arrows to swing between buildings and climb tall things, smoke arrows, electric arrows, sleep arrows, fear arrows, net arrows, EMP arrows, etc etc etc. Like Arkham crossed with Assassin's Creed.

Most everyone else would be generic.
Punching shit, flying, and blasting stuff is just Infamous/Prototype/Saint's Row IV.

The Question could be interesting. Conspiracy superhero LA Noire+WATCH_DOGS?
Aquaman could be interesting, if they did it right. Same way he could have an amazing movie...if they did it right.
Cyborg maybe? Like a cross between WATCH_DOGS(the controlling technology bitz, not so much the hacking for data) and Transformers:Fall Of Cybertron, or something?

The Question. More along the lines of the cartoon than the comic, though. Detective puzzles all over the place, plus some regular combat; it'd be perfect! And a nice big, conspiracy filled story.

I'd like a game based on The Flash, but I honestly don't see how it'd work on its own.

Green Arrow, as everyone has pointed out, would be awesome.

A Superman game would also be nice! A Superman game from Rocksteady would be even better!

International Crime Sydicate maybe? Basically it would be GTA on a global scale with super powers and Owlman.

Honourable mentions to

Constantine: Demons exorcisms drugs and Cameos from swamp thing
Aquaman: Explore underwater, fight aquatic gods, shag mermaids and rule Atlantis.
Green Lantern: DC's mass effect

How about DC anti-heroes? I'd love to have a tactical turn-based game based on the "Suicide Squad" series, where you'd have a team of various DC villains and you have to complete all sorts of missions for the Government utilizing the wide variety of characters. Add upgrade paths and customizable equipment for them and it would be straight awesome. Heck, you can even throw in some superheroes getting in your way to put them in there as well. I'd definitely play that.

Booster Gold: have it set during that time when he was adrift in time and space and just have him visit a series of cool worlds and locations, some canonical and others not (and make the final mission where you get to walk up to Maxwell Lord and pimp slap him for a good solid hour until he decides not to shoot Ted Kord).

I think some sort of Crisis on Infinite Earths game where you play as Pariah and get tugged around watching worlds being destroyed could be amazing story wise, but I can't think of how to make the gameplay good.

Secret Six: Squad-based, mission-based action game where you can pick and switch between each of the team's members depending on your personal preferences and situations. Deadshot would be a shooter where you can either mow down hordes of baddies or snipe out distant topics, Catman would be a stealth-based assassination style thing where you track down and knife tough guys in the back, Scandal would be similar but more head-on and less stealth based, Ragdoll would be all acrobatic/platformy and you could incorporate some stealth into that, Bane would be uncomplicated smashy smash, and Jeanette would be.. fun S&M scenes between missions? (plus bonus aquatic missions to play King Shark and magic areas to play Black Alice, this game practically writes itself).

Actually any big superhero/villain team could be made into a squad-based action game or a puzzle game a la The Three Vikings. Birds of Prey, Justice League International (especially if they used the team from Generation Lost)/JLA/JSA, the Gotham City Sirens, the Outsiders, the Titans, the Suicide Squad... they could all work out well if enough effort went into them.

Personally I would love to see a comedic pseudo-sandbox style game (like Infamous without the moral choices) starring the Palmiotti-Gray-Connor run on Power Girl where you would just swoop around the city and stop crimes while occasionally being blackmailed by tween-age boys or get hit on by alien god-kings who need to re-fertilize their planet. And then it ends with you beating the Ultrahumanite into little white monkey chunks.

Aquaman deserves a game that doesn't suck. Very underrated character and from what I hear his Gamecube game was just "Superman64 2"

A Hawkgirl[footnote]Or Hawkman if you're, you know, boring.[/footnote] game could also be pretty great.

Agreed with the suggestions for Green Arrow. Loved him in Justice League, and in it he gets a great sidekick in Black Canary.

Wonder Woman: Basically make it a new God of War game where only about half of the Greek Gods are jerks who need to be killed by you and the protagonist is considerably more positive and likeable. Also no Blades of Chaos, but Diana has used/trained with every melee weapon in existence at some point as well as the bow and lasso, so no lack of variety for weapon choice.

Jonah Hex: Max Payne in sci-fi/Western trappings.

I've typed about my ideal Superman game in a few threads over the past year or so, so I'll try and think up something different...like a game based around Lobo!

Lobo can go one of two ways: Rip off the Deadpool game verbatim or, it can take on a more Saint's Row style. The Saint's Row style game can take place on several cities scattered on several worlds (and space stations). Missions can include things like beating up wimps, hauling losers in for bounties and, taking down The Legion of Decency. There's also a lot of potential in missions set within the Pan-Galactic Demolition Ballet. I say Open World since it would be awesome to use The Space Hog and engage in random acts of violence. Another factor that makes me favor the open world is the possibility of Just Cause or Red Faction Guerrilla style destruction-of-property.

I want a Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle game but I don't have any gameplay ides for such a thing...Same with Booster Gold.

Superman could really use an undeniably good game too. I haven't played every Superman game but it doesn't seem like any of the games staring or even featuring him go beyond "passable" or "alright". Except for some arcade game that has yet to be put on any modern distribution service.

Probably, at least in part, not unlike Sonic Unleashed/Colors/Generations.

Which, for my money, I'd absolutely love. First answer that came to mind when I saw this thread was The Flash.

Otherwise, I'd go for a twist and want a game where you play as the Joker. And I'd want it to play like a cross between Payday 2, Rainbow Six, X-COM: Enemy Unknown, and Syndicate. Which probably sounds insane, so I'll clarify a little:

I'd like it to be a high-concept game basically about building up the Joker's power, control, and influence throughout Gotham City. You run heists, get little goonies to join you, but you have to be tactical and smart when setting up the plans before the mission begins because you're only human after all and you don't want the GCPD to get on you really early on. As your influence grows, you can elect to simply send your henchmen out on the little terror runs while you do other missions, maybe in a more Arkham-esque style of gameplay for a more personal side of the story or character. But you eventually infiltrate the highest levels of Gotham City's political ladder and if all goes according to plan, have the entire city in the palm of your hands.

It'd undoubtedly be a huge clusterfuck to accomplish, but most of my ideas end up that way.
