What did you name you pokemon/rival in pokemon soul silver/heart gold?

So I playing my new copy of heart gold I picked up today and I remembered when I was little
I named my totodile ryu and my rival junk lol I was like 8 or 10. This time around though it
went more like this

-totodile = Fredric
-rival = Ginger (he does have red hair after all)

Salamence - Menace
Aggron - Ironhide
Dragonite - Lightning
Gengar - Shadow

I started my game (as soon at trades were available) with their eggs.

my Totodile lives in my pokewalker.

I always called my rival 'Douche', even before he started doing Super Effective. I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one

While I haven't got SS/HG yet, in my last game I named all my pokémon with Megaman-style names. Leafman, Cutman, Burnman, Flyman, Monkeyman etc. I liked it well enough.

Considering Charmander uses Metal Claw, it's probably Fire Red/Leaf Green rather than Red/Green/Blue.

The strip was created in honor of Red/Blue/Green/Yellow, but was adapted to FireRed/LeafGreen to include the youngins on his original news post (a link would be useless the post is long since gone).

Technically it's both. But you are right, it is based on the 3rd generation rather than the 1st.
