Internet. Smartphones are truly the ultimate timewaster - five minutes is enough time to read a Cracked article and bask in the horrible idiocy of the comment section.

I've also been playing lots of Plague Inc. recently, which if you crank the speed up can be over quite fast (provided you don't go with the boring-but-sensible tactic of infecting the entire world before mutating your virus into lethality) and pass a few minutes.

Usually play a game on the smartphone. They're very handy for that. Hell, it's usually how I pass the time at rehab while they have my wrist on heat to relax the muscles some. I makes those 15 minutes pass rather quickly.
