Okay. I'm sick. I'm unfortunately not sick enough to stay home and I have exams, but I FEEL awful. It got me to thinking: If you've got a sick day off, what do you spend it doing? Is there a game you play when you just feel sick? I want to hear about it.

I was thinking of playing Dwarf Fortress, but I think that requires my brain to function too much.
If I had to pick one now, it would be a close tie between The Sims 3 and Minecraft. Anybody else have ideas?

BUMPED ON MARCH 13, 2012: I am once again sick. Continue to post new titles!

Pokemon.

It never moves forward on it's own. Paused or not. And I can fall asleep playing it to no real downside if my illness makes me exhausted.

My DS is just going to run out of batteries, not overheat, after all.

Normally I don't play anything I haven't beaten yet since I'll probably feel like crap too much to really think my way through an unfamiliar game. Instead I probably play something familiar like KOTOR or Kingdom Hearts, or something that doesn't require much thinking like a rail shooter.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl -- simple, fun, and epic all at the same time.

New Super Mario Bros. -- again, read above description.

Half Life 1 -- ONCE AGAIN, refer to description #1.

Half Life 1 can be found on the PS2, which is what I play it on.

I don't get sick.

But if I were sick, I would play Left 4 Dead 2. Nothing like killing virtual representations of disease to counter feelings of inadequacy at being laid low by a virus.

If I get ill, I'd rather sleep. After all, I usually don't have the motivation to play.

I was playing Portal 2, but that was because it had just come out and the universe itself could not have stopped me from playing that game. Other than that I don't really get sick often enough to have one designated game....

I usually play Pokemon, it's mindless and if I happen to fall asleep or get too sick to continue I don't have to worry about re-doing any missions or anything.

Saint's Row 2 is rather perfect when you just want mindless fun and don't need to worry so much about missing out on story because you can go and spray houses with shit instead.

For some reason, when I am ill, I dig out my old copy of Freedom Fighters, no idea why, it just helps me feel better.

RTS's Command and Conquer mostly only because it requires little to no movement

Peetty much my DS game (if I had to stay in bed or headache from staring at the tv screen for long). The games I played are either one with replay value (Pokemon or Dragon Quest 9, pretty much somthing to grind) or game I haven't completed yet.

Stole my best sick day games right of the bat. But something that isn't to demanding on your brain I would say the harvest moon franchise.

I play fable 2 when I'm sick. Doesn't require that much challenge, and it has music in case you fall asleep

Any of the Civ games is an easy and fun way to pass... well... a week.
