I recently read through a 1st person narration and 3rd person narration and wondered which I enjoyed more. Each one has its own benefits and I can't choose which one I like more. 1st person gets you in the mind of the character where as the 3rd person makes the story flow a lot easier. O and I only just discovered there is a such a thing as a second person narration (obvious if you think about it) but I've never read a book in second person narration and don't think I've even heard of it before today. Which do you prefer and why?

It depends on the story and genre I guess. Some genres can pull off a third person narration much better than others, also partly based on the context of events some types of narration are preferred. Like first person, as you said can really explore a character in a personal level while third person can relate to a wider audience.
