What do you tell people when injured?

I was just wondering what stories people come up with in order to cover up a story about an injury.
Example: The other day I tried to scratch my eyebrow, put too much force into my hand, and poked myself in the eye. Lower half of my eye is a little swollen, and I just claim I had a bizarre fight with someone close to me.

What kinds do you lot use?

To quote Only Fools And Horses:
"What the hell happened to you?"
"I walked into a door."
"It did all that?!"
"Well...it was a revolving door."

Totally using that in the future.

When I dislocated my pinkey, I said it was because I punched a guy too hard in a fight, I actually broke it during dogdeball.

I tried killing a man. Succeeded... at a cost. Just kidding, I tell the truth. And that I wrestled a grizzly bear

If I aquired the injury in an embarrasing way, to get out of saying what it is, I do what I always do.

SMOKE BOMB TO THE FLOOR!!!

I would just tell them what I did, just laughing about it could be a good medicin too! That and maybe try and see if you can find a witty retort to distract your mind a bit.

One that my friend said was something along the lines of "I fell down an escalator... going up"

I bought a knife on a school trip when I was younger, I couldn't get it out of the case so I pulled really hard and accidentally pulled it out quickly and cut myself, I just told my parents I fell on broken glass, they believed it too. The other week also I was sat on my windowsill (legs out the window) when it was raining really hard, the moon was out so I was looking at it, and rain is awesome. Anyway, I found a lighter next to me, and some rope, so I burnt the end of the rope and some wax or rubber burnt off and landed on my finger, it was quite noticeable when it went into blister form so I told my parents I did it lifting weights, they believed me again too. It has only now, after 4 weeks, gone fully, I have a burn scar on my finger now. In retrospect of both events I'm glad I did them, scars are dope. Although I would make the worst fucking thief ever because my fingerprints have scars all over them.

People sometimes notice that my knuckles are constantly bruised.
I tell them I punched a wall.
Funny thing, that's the truth, too.

I tell them the truth:
'I tried to punch a wall.'
'I walked into a door.'
'I bounced off the floor.'
'My friend squeezed my arm lightly and all I got was this bruise.'
'I jumped a metre when she stuck the needle in my arm. I am not cutting myself.'

My friends are quite accepting of my stupidity.

I tell them what actually happened, like the time I was about to scratch me eyes and suddenly sneezed, causing me to smack myself in the face.
