What do you think about Fanboy/Fangirls?

Well console fanboys/girls are for the most part insufferable, which is why I'm so glad there aren't really any on these fine forums.
Mostly annoying, sometimes border insane. I usually can't tell the difference between them and a 12 year old kid who just learned how to type sometimes (on the web, I don't think I've ever met someone like that IRL).
Sad, and tormented people. At least potentially; I'm sure there are people that are too into things that are capable of leaving people alone about it. What I've never been clear on is where the line between fan and fan boy/girl exists.
Ehh, depends what kind. I dislike the irritating idiots who never shut the fuck up, but the rest can be pretty fun.
Don't really care bout them... Noones forcing me to listen to them anyways.
Just keep your mp3 player /discman or whatever you have on you, and when some fanboy/girl, or other types of annoying people just plug in your headphones and turn that shit up.
That'll totally piss people off, escpecially if the fanboyism is music relatred and you play something they cannot stand loud enough for them to hear what it is

They are a group of people so deprived of hope that they clung to the first thing they could, or the first thing that moved them even slightly emotionally, and have since become pathetic excuses of people constantly going over and over the same thing hoping that one day their personal love will become accepted as perfect, which is how they see it, by the rest of the world and society will finally accept and love them, the thing they have always wanted.

Fanboys/girls are necessary for a console to survive, just as any football club has its die-hard fans, and any band will have its dedicated followers, fanboys/girls advertise, publicize, and definitely make known what they love, and in turn produce revenue for the thing they adore.
While yes, they can be annoying and stupid and etc...
They are vital to the gaming, and nearly every, industry today.

They're fine and funny to watch with their lame justifications and deluded arguments... you just don't want their wrath to turn on you, because then you find yourself in a long argument with them as much fun as banging your head against and wall and is about as productive.
It depends on how obsessed they are. They can be either obnoxious or terrifying.
Console fanboys? Obnoxious.

I'd just say they vary from "tolerable" (Starcraft fanboys most of the time) to "HELLA ANNOYING" (most mac fanboys who try to get me to convert)

Anyone thats obsessed with something/someone and cant shut the fudge up about is most of the time very annoying.

Foolish children missing out on something just because of a pointless hang up. If you dislike it, the more power to you, however if it just a hatred because you are apparently required to hate it in order to let something else... yeah...

The whole fanboy buisness is a pretty tricky deal on the internet. While people are quite quick too condemn, they often neglect their own flaws, that they consider normal. There is a little bit of fanboy/girl in most of us and it really shows, in this thread you can see quite a few people who Say things like "X='tards, Y=alright".
That being said, Half-life fanboys can smash their head against a wall for all I care.
