I ask this, because I'm not really sure what to think. The first trailer I saw made it look a little gimmicky, but the second trailer made it look less so. I understand DICE is developing the multiplayer so that makes me think the multiplayer gameplay will be similar to Bad Company 2. But really, I'm just not sure

I played the beta. It was a lot like Bad Company 2, mixed with Call of Duty 4. Not necessarily bad, but I just didn't find it that much fun.

I really couldn't decide. I played the Beta and I honestly couldn't decide whether it was brilliant or terrible. Though, since that was only a beta i'm guessing things will get better for the launch but so far I wouldn't know whether to buy it or not.

It looks very, very generic. I just can't see how its differentiating itself from any other popular modern FPS.

Well, they're trying to push "authenticity" as the thing that sets them apart from other shooters. I hope it does well so that the other shooters will have some competition in the market, but it does look to me a bit generic. Hopefully we'll see more on it that makes us excited.

But if they were serious about authenticity, they'd be making the game move from BF:BC2 towards ArmA or America's Army. But they're not. They're taking BF:BC2 and dumbing it down towards MW2.

Do keep in mind that most of us have only seen trailers and gameplay vids though, so it could be different.

I played the beta and was fairly impressed. I've found that COD is becoming gimmicky, so MoH will probably replace MW2 as my online FPS.

Well... haha the thing is that the game's honcho, Greg Goodrich, makes it a point to carefully define "authenticity" in the context of MoH, citing that authenticity is having accurate visuals, sounds, physics, environments, situations (to a point), etc. He is careful to concede that making it too realistic (limiting your equipment to what is humanly possible to carry, taking only a couple shots before dying) is not "fun".

Of course, much of this is probably marketing mumbo jumbo, and I agree with you that if he wants to make it different, it needs to be more different than what we've seen so far.

Sounds good. If the games producers can get away with that rubbish, do you think we can get away with redefining 'legal' to include temporary, unpaid usage of a game? :D

I'm looking forward to it quite a bit! I'll never be playing the multiplayer either way, so I'm looking forward to what looks to be a pretty sweet singleplayer campaign.

Looks ok. But from what I've seen there doesn't seem to be much different about it from other recent Modern FPSs. Atleast enough to warrant purchase.

I've not played it yet and I don't particularly enjoy military shooters, so I think it'll be everything I dislike from Call of Duty and the like distilled into a me-too package.

it seems like tis a game that takes ppl from BFBC2 and gives them the big maps and team based playing but watering it down so that the noobs from MW2 that only care about themselves and cant handle big maps with team oriented playmodes. so its most likely a hybrid that tries to take all the ppl that are bored from BFBC2 and MW2 together.

Looks like BC2 with more seriousness. I'm probably just going to get it for the unlockable beards. Awesome.

Judging from the video on my screen right now, it looks very interesting, particularly on the single player. Will definately be picking it up when its released.
