Okay so I caught up with a lady friend from high school over the weekend and went out on the town. Nothing really eventuated but there was a little bit of flirting. went back to her house and had a couple of cones and talked till the wee hours of the morning then passed out on her couch. Next day i get a nice txt back saying "was really good to see you...". I may just be overanalysing a seemingly meaningless piece of txt but to me that either means she wanted me to make a move or it actually was'nt that great catching up. So does the ... mean anything or am I just looking into it too much.

Text her more. If she ends a lot of texts with that, then it's just a texting quirk. If she doesn't, then it's 99% of a chance that she's expecting a follow-up on it (how you do so is based on her disposition) and a 1% chance that her thumb slipped multiple times. :p

I know that I have a bad habbit of adding "..." to a lot of messages, so it might not mean a thing. I think lacktheknacks suggestion is the way to go. For two reasons, the first being to learn if this is a quirk of hers, the second being to keep in touch and maybe making something happen even though "..." means nothing :p

I add "..." to represent my voice trailing off if I were to say it. I mostly do it when saying something awkward or responding to something awkward, but it doesn't seem like that could be the case here (hopefully).

Your answer should be:
"It was good to see you as well. Would be even better to see you again sometime" or something like that.

What this person says. I have minimal dating experience and need someone to hold up signs before I can tell if they're interested in me, but even I can tell you've got a shot there. Good luck!

Exactly: Worst case scenario, you gain nothing. Not really much you could lose at this point, and having liked someone in the past really shouldn't make things awkward unless you are thirteen.
Almost any other scenario, you gain... quite a lot :D

So go for it, maybe take a little time just to make sure, but not too long. Make sure you don't give a not interested signal or she will move on as she has every right to.

And good luck :)

Just go for, worst case scenario you were mistaken.

Of course if I were to send that text it would probably mean "get off my damn couch".
