what first attracted you to the escapist?

How did we get here? There are many thing that could draw us in, but just what got you here? With the escapist being one of the biggest gaming websites and community, I just have to wonder, how did you get here?

I personally got here from a link on youtube for the new and improved version of unforgotten realms, rather then the crudely drawn original form. then i discovered zero punctuation and the forums and all the other shows. And here I am.

Now what is your story, how did you get here? Did a friend say "check this out"? were you subscribed to Yahtzee's original youtube channel and decided to come along? Did you click on a random add and here you are? Lets find out, tell us your story.

I was just browsing through the net back in... I think it was 2007, and I stumbled across here completely by accident. I decided to lurk for a year, then I joined up to be apart of this "community".

Mind you, the forums took a while to grow on me. I dunno if you know this, but The Escapist has this sorta 'unwritten policy' about new members.

I happened to see Unforgotten Realms a long time ago, but I didn't have broadband and it took too long to load on my computer. I then forgot about it for at least a year.

Then I remembered it for no real reason, I googled it, and it came up with the escapist.

Oddly, my friends introduced me to Zero Punctuation less then a fortnight later. So I would have started coming here anyway, it's just Unforgotten Realms got there first.
