What game character would you most want to be?

The shopkeeper of any adventure/action RPG.

None of the danger of facing monsters, all the benefits of selling healing potions, mana potions and armor etc to the foolish adventurers risking life and limb.

And anyone who has played Nethack or ADOM knows, shopkeepers are some of the thoughest, meanest badasses around a fight.

I once witnessed one taking down an ancient black dragon with a well-placed toss of a gold coin '

Pretty much this. Since western RPG's are the only games I really play that have an extensive amount of characters, the main character I create is basically who I am in that world, and so naturally is who I would want to be. Besides... my character always has alot of awesome stuff.
