It comes out on the 9th in North America and the 12th in Europe (and presumably other NTSC (oops) PAL regions, like Australia).

That said, I'm looking forward to Assassin's Creed 2 and Blizzards "Next-gen MMO". If it's going to be as good as WoW was at it's launch I'm in for a lot of years more of pure enjoyment.

What's the essay on?

"What constitutes a communication revolution?" with reference to specific technologies. I'm focusing on video games, because I think they're a much more significant development in media than they are often given credit for, but writing about video games can be distracting... hence why I keep ending up back here.
