I'm currently replaying Psychonauts and have a blast! It occurs to me that there doesn't seem to be that many comedy games out recently. So everyone list your favorite game with a sense of humor!

Might only be because I'm playing it but definitely psychonauts

Ugh, I mean there have been a lot of humorous games on the online market places, but a lot of mainstream titles these days do seem to allocate humor to a minor role. Of couse, I still blame the whole realism style that's caught on all too well. In the previous generation, you had stuff like Daxter, any commerical in Ratchet and Clank (especially the Protopet), Psychonauts, and more. The last game I really remember in that sort of style with the same humor was Brutal Legend, a game whose sales numbers made it hit the bargain bin way too early.

Humor has changed "ALOT" over the last 10 years... What we used to find funny and cool in terms of fart humor with games such as Earthworm Jim or Abes Oddysee is now considerably lame...

Humor these days is alot more dark in my opinion =D

I will say now that there's a scene in Enslaved which made me crease.

The idea of a comedy game though doesn't really appeal to me. They've mostly only been point 'n' click games too, which also aren't my thing.

If you can incorporate funny into the script (ala Portal or Enslaved) then I much prefer that.

The gaming industry has a raging hard-on for "Realism" right now, so they can't be bothered with silly things like comical games. But atleast there are lots of games that don't mind taking to humorious sides of realism. GTA has annoying gritty realism but saints row 2 which was a GTA clone lets you drive a septic truck spraying poo on cars while dressed has a spartan, humorious and realistic!!

Deadly premonition is a funny game that is quite recent. It was made even more funnier by the fact it wasn't really trying to be funny. Rather the game was so poorly made it was parodying itself.

Take a look

This is also a funny scene involving the agent and a old woman with a hearing problem.

FK in the coffee? what the hell does that even mean.

they are not about space marines in power ranger suits

therefore they are:

now, that there is the biggest bullshit there's ever been, all thanks to "serious" assholes who think that if a game actually looks like a game, it's gay

reason why Gun Loco is so hated, when it really is a breath of fresh air in gaming scene

I loved the idea of The Big Mighty Poo but I never liked the actual fight. It was a funny game though if only you could have turned off the bleeps.

Fable 2 was funny depending on how much of a dick you are. I loved getting a bunch of people to follow me, especially the Town Guard, and giving their children beer. The mothers would get angry but no arrests. I tried giving guards beer and wine and stuff but they never threw up like the town cryer or other villagers. It's fun getting the Tow Cryer drunk though! Can't wait for Fable 3! Hopefully you can kill children (or at least children) in the latest installment.
