The 'Search' feature revealed to me curiously that there has been a topic like this once (and ONLY once) per year for the past several... so I figured, why break tradition?

What has been your Proudest moment in Gaming so-far?

Was it an achievement you broke your back to get?

Was it a high-score you finally got to beat a rival sibling?

Was it getting JUST the right camera-angle with Princess Peach?

Spill the beans!

(Personally - mine was the first time I beat another human being in a Starcraft 2 multiplayer battle. Not much to write home about, but I'm horrible at RTS against real people - so it was a big step forward for me!)

(As a runner up - seeing myself drawn as the Spy was also awesome. [http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/151/9/9/Gentlemen______by_Blazbaros.png])

I just beat the last Spec Ops in Call of Duty.

That counts for me or there is the time I sunk 5 Yamatos in Battlestations Pacific with one very damaged Idaho class battleship.

Don't you just love that? When you're So Sure that you're doomed, and you still manage to claw through with a victory against all odds?

Gotta be the time when I was playing Killing Floor on Hard difficulty.

I was in a full server and somehow everyone but me died about three minutes into the wave. We were on Wave 8 (a long game) and sure enough there were plenty of Flesh Pounds and Scrakes about.

I ended up surviving and everyone was very happy.

The only better feeling is when you get to be a Big Damn Hero. One submarine appearing out of nowhere and saving your friends fleet from near certain doom.

A long time ago, my dad used to bring a laptop home from work. Now this was in the beginning of the computer era, so the laptop weighed 20 kilo's and was about as big as a decent box. On this laptop there was one game. I don't know if it even had a name. In the (2D) game you controlled a pizza delivery man who had to climb an apartmentcomplex to deliver his pizza. During the journey, he encountered rabbits (or I think they were rabbits). I still think that my proudest moment was when I beat that game. I've had some after, but the first time I beat a game still holds the most value for me.

Either singing an almost perfect "Walk of Life" by Dire Straits in front of a crowd at PAX, or five starring "Poker Face" on Dance Central in front of a different crowd.

I may have done other, much harder, things, but after I finished both of these, I got an ovation. That was amazing.

MW2, SnD on sub base, we were getting slaughtered, so I just said "Fuck it!" and charged, ended up killing the entire enemy team and winning the game. Awesome.

Man I can't stand Scrakes. They're devastating on Normal, let alone hard. I tip my hat to you.

Grats! Sounds like you earned it... I remember finally beating Through the Fire and the Flames on my mates Wii on new years. I was in a sort of trance so I didn't even realise I'd been playing the game till my mate was screaming at me.

Ahh nostalgia... I wish I could find a nice working copy of Albion.

Big-Damn-Hero is a universally awesome feeling.

The auto shotgun does wonders. I was just panicking running around for ammo.

Ironically enough, my proudest moment on gaming wasn't actually on a platform.

A group of friends and I were playing a mod for D&D that used guns instead of swords and magic, and in a mission we were on (escaping from a collapsing oil rig while being chased by zombies), and the characters were in a bad strait, low on hit points and with a horde of ravenous freaks clawing at their heels while they ran for their lives. In a stroke of luck, we found a mounted machine gun, and I heroically opted to man it and buy the other PCs some time.

I need a 10 or more on a 20-sided dice to be able to hurt the zombies. With 20 shots, every time I managed to damage them, and in a single round managed to mow down a grand total of 18 zombies. The very next turn I rolled 3 natural 20s in a row. We actually stopped play to work out the odds, and the chances of it happening turned out be 1 in 16.777 BILLION.

In console gaming, it was probably the first time I ever hit number 1 on a shooter scoreboard online (the game in question was Bioshock 2). The resulting boost in morale managed to let me stomp all over several other players in the following matches.

I already recounted this moment yesterday! I was playing TF2 with my friends, and I was heavying it up. I got 27 kills in six and a half minutes without dying - 6 uebercharges. The entire round was won. The thing is, they were as good as me at TF2 - I'm not saying we were lolpros or anything, just that I was as good as they were - so it wasn't a hollow achievement like if I'd joined a room full of newbs who didn't know the controls. I mean, several times I ran out of ammo for all my guns and ended up just plain punching the entire enemy team to death, before taking what ammo they'd dropped and crushing them all again when they respawned.

Mate, there's Nothing wrong with table-top gaming...

Back when I was a rich lad, I played Warhammer. Right up till the point when my parents stopped paying for everything - then I started going for longer-term options like Team Fortress 2.

Beating every story mode level on the hardest difficulty in F-zero Gx was the only gaming memory I can think of where I actually got up and did an air fist. I may have shouted "YUS!!" too.

Or on tf2 when I got my 15 headshot kills: 1 life record. And it was a proper game too, and I was on the frontlines nearly all the time, and it was decent players.
I was shocked.

How much TF2 do you play by the way?

MW2 kill streak of 5 where i jumped from a low roof, commando a guy and blast 4 others with smg

not impressive just a really cool feeling of "Fuuuuuuuuu-" from the moment I jumped to me getting away as if nothing had happened and then taking a moment to consider how friggin cool that was
