PS. My girlfriend is banned from touching my car keys. Forever.
pretty sure she has some ways of making you give up your keys...

OP
Games have taught me that no matter how many times you get knocked down you just have to hit that analog stick and get right back up on your feet.
There are few things in life I covet more than my girlfriend. Them being my car... and bacon.

OT: The MGS series also taught me how to sneak really well. I can literally sneak up on my (very alert and hyper active) cats now.
mmmmm...bacon, and a car can get you from point A to bacon!

OT
When at first you don't reach the checkpoint, die, die, die again...until you finally reach the checkpoint just to die in the following cut scene

Every time I hear somebody saying they "know something" because they've seen it in a videogame I have to resist the urge to run for cover.

All I've truly learnt through videogames is that videogames are entertaining.

I'm just glad the OP's girlfriend didn't crash the car or got arrested. I can already see the headlines:

"Idiot drives without a license because 'she's great at racing games'"

*shudder*
Lol, that's exactly how I felt. But she literally does know how to drive my car. She lacks certain things that can only be gained through proper driving experience. but she knows all the basics like acceleration, deceleration, clutch control, even heel-toe shifting and proper engine braking. But she doesn't know how to work my turn signals, lights or window wipers. lol. She's better than me at GT5 (I have 10 years of Gran Turismo behind me).

[small]I'm ignoring the chance at a dirty joke...[/small]

Anyways, I suppose it's that if you beat old ladies with baseball bats it nets you their purse. That and running them over with your car.

If I must be honest... I guess I learned nothing. Or I did and forgot it.

If you peek out of a corner while standing, you expose +50% of your body. And blindfire works well.

In the modern era, you can no longer peek around corners, because it's unfair. The UN passed the mandate this year.

That we need to make power armour ASAP. Before all the tanks run out of fuel.

I learned that murder is A-OK!

Also, that in threat of alien invasion, the best treatment is to strap a giant fucking chainsaw to the bottom of your gun.

I learned the skills required to break into my own house when the garage door is the only one not locked: grab ladder, set up ladder, ascend into attic, crawl around in the dark until you reach the closet in my room, drop through trap door onto pile of random junk, open door, take an hour long shower.

If your breasts are 34 double J, you can still stand up straight, get no back pain and wield a weapon.
I guess my aim has improved too.

That holding a car above your head while running through a crowd of people can be fun and helpful!
God do I love Prototype.

Video games taught me that OP doesn't have a girlfriend, he has a hand.

seriously, video games taught me that good storytelling is rare, and that i'm bound to be disappointed or annoyed if i hope otherwise.

The manly your are the more armor you have to wear, and the hotter you are the less armor you have to wear.
