Why do gaming protagonists have to be such ungreatful swines? I mean really. If you woke up, sans a few memories here and there but fully loaded with over powered abilities.
Would you care that much that you want revenge?
I don't understand the mentality behind it all, only insofar as "I was a human guineapig" but lets face it, that bought of amnesia may have killed the memory of you signing your life away to science.

Lets look at Wolverine shall we, "Oh no what have you done to me!? I'm coming to kill you!".
Yet they just made him invincible, Sure he ran away and they kind of wanted him back but come the hell on.
Invincible is invicible.
If we turn our attention, away from games to something like a TV show, ala Heroes.

Yet there she is, always jumping off buildings and making her little trick known, she was hardly a freak.
A human band aid yes, freak no and nobody would ever notice it unless it was flaunted. It's not like she emitted flames when she passed gas or something.

So semi rant over and so question to you Escapee's, would you be off seeking revenge because someone did something too you that you can't remember why, or would you be off doing your own thing?

Personally, I'd be out shopping looking for a decent thankyou card and bunch of flowers if someone gave me super powers.

However, how the hell can you be angry because someone made you into Mr"LolIhitlikeatruck".
Sure, they can't make a game about you searching so you could hug them (that would be a hilarious alternative prototype ending).
They can surely change the tired, cliche "revenge" story now though, can't they?

Well, in all fairness, Mercer was a lot more pissed that everyone was trying to kill him and was just trying to figure out what was going on. By the time he started getting a grip on things, there was the whole infestation and military lockdown so the whole thing got out of hand pretty fast.
Wolverine was more pissed about his dead girlfriend and the whole "kill him" thing than anything else.

Heroes is just a bad show so it doesn't count...

I am aware of this, but that skeleton made him ten times more durable. If he was just a regular dude rockin' average chitin he'd be less useful most likely.

I'm not sure about this one. On the one hand, superpowers would be awesome. Then again, they are a huge responsibility (cough, spiderman line, cough) and would probably make my life much more difficult.
