I am a console player, I confesss. But there are those times where you hate your console so much. Even you PC gamers sometimes have to hate your PC from time to time.

What are some of the things that your console or PC does that makes you hate them?

Mine is insigificant, but why do the 360 and PS3 beep when turned on? If I am trying to sneak the game on at midnight, I don't want the hold household to hear me "beep". Be more quieter console.

My laptop suffers from an affliction I call "Random black screen syndrome" Sometimes when my laptop screen is moved a milliemeter, the screen will go black. Now when I'm in an intense game of League or Smite, this really fucks me over. I usually have to jiggle the screen back and forth a little to fix it. Sometimes it won't do it, other times it happens every ten minutes. Myself and several others think I just have a loose chord somewhere and I probably do. I'm just to scared to fix it myself and to lazy and cheap to drive and pay someone to fix it. So really the only reason it is still a problem is myself, but it really pisses me off.

For me I hate how my console always needs to update something when I want to play a game. Wanna play some little big planet? nope here's a 2hr update, and when it's done updating I don't feel like playing anymore.

As for PC it's fine MOST of the time but I do get random blue screens of death every now and then...

I really hate whenever my PC hangs (like freezes in or out of a game) or at worst when windows suddenly reminds me it has encountered a critical error if I'm playing a game and shuts down, completely pisses me off when that happens and seriously hampers my overall experience, same with serious frame stutter.

Sometimes though I do dislike when my desktop case slightly rattles since the side panel has a plastic area which technically touches the heat sink and that can agitate me after a while.

I also dislike generally having to look around for bugs to resolve or sort out whether it;s an OS or game related one, you can be assured that I won't be happy, I'm never that guy that's happy when he has to fix something that shouldn't be broken and when it's fixed I'm restored back to a temperate feeling, not the "oh hey I feel really jolly and good inside because I fixed a problem" like some people will let you on to believe.

Consoles I dunno, biggest problem I had was my first PS3 I'd had for a about a year a long time back when the fans died and my FPS went to a grinding halt and I had to sell it off and in the end bought a 360 for the rest of last gen, one time my 360 scratched a disk but it was easily replaced thanks to a refund so really my problems with consoles aren't as dire as when I'm gaming on a PC which can offer a myriad of problems without warning and sometimes without resolve.

The thing I hate about my PS3 is that it will crash every now and then and when you do the only thing you can do and perform a hard reset, it acts all sniffy like it was all your fault. It then goes through the motions of checking that everything is ok, that takes about 5 minutes at least while all I want to do is carry on gaming.

Well excuuuuuuuuse me console, its not my fault that you decided to crash and left me with one option. Screw you!!!

I seem to lose my internet connection after probably a day free of hiccups whenever any of my chums wants to game with me. Then it decides 'lol nope, 10 minutes play 20 minutes fiddling'.

I... can't really think of much that isn't tied to the game itself.

I guess I could say the Playstation Store. It's fucking slow and searching for content is a pain. But it was fine till Sony started screwing around with it. So I can't really blame the console for that.

The worse thing I can think of are the big, floppy R2/L2 triggers on the PS3 controller.

Every time I boot up my laptop it has a 50% of shitting the bed and lag so I can't perform basic things on it and has to restart, sometimes multiple times.

I'm not kidding, this really happens. D:

I hate that my Wii U requires me to point the wiimote at the screen and click a button when I switch to Wii mode. Just... why? Boot up the damn OS! I usually have my wiimote in my Guitar Hero guitar and it's a pain in the arse to pull it out of its housing just to click a button that doesn't need to be there!

Also, why can't you turn off the video feed on the gamepad? If I'm playing on the tv I don't need the same thing to be streaming to the gamepad.

God damn Wii U...

YES!! Yes, yes yes yes yes yes. This.

I hate the constant need for updates.

This mostly affects me with my laptop. I don't use it as regularly as my PC (once or twice a week at most), but EVERY time I use it, it wants to update. It always wants dem updates.

It just drives me insane - the amount of updates it seems to think need to occur.

Although, it isn't the laptop's fault. It's the software! So I should direct my anger properly, sorry laptop.

Right in the middle of a big battle or something that needs your undivided attention, and the game minimizes so your anti-virus can tell you "You're safe, but you should scan again soon." Thanks, you just acted like a virus to tell me that.

Another one is when I am playing Skyrim. Sometimes I will be running around and suddenly every fan in my PC goes on full overdrive. All I can think is "What is coming at me?!?!" But really an NPC probably just dropped a basket.

Steam fails to work sometimes for no apparent reason. This is after running AV, CCleaner, defragmentation, and all of the housecleaning activities. T_T

When it works though, it doesn't break easily, so I can live with it for a few days at a time.

Been there mate. It becomes easier when you have your own place.

I just hate PC's. Having to worry if your "rig" will be able to run the game you just bought is a nightmare. And if anyone wants to scum and say I just need to update my tech, just go and jump in a pit of sharpened graphics cards. My Pc runs Skyrim on mid and that shit is expensive, I'd rather have more console games I can play rather than spending hours fucking about with PC games I can mod.

Totally this. Every time it freezes and I just know that when I turn it back on and it's going to tell me not to do that again, I just want to hurt things. And that god damn triple-beep it does when you reset it, like it's yelling at me for taking my only option. That is just a twist of the knife.

For some reason, my PS3 is also having serious connection problems to the PSN. I don't have any idea what's wrong, because it's not the internet connection itself, as Netflix works just fine. But whenever I try to get into the Playstation store or a multiplayer game, it's slow as fuck and 9 out of 10 times, it just drops the connection after 60 seconds. My first PS3 never did that. Why can't you be more like him?!

The things my PC does to make me hate it:
> Minimises my games to tell me how much ink my printer has left.
> Randomly decides that it is going to have a slow internet connection or disconnect entirely (this is not my internet's fault, other devices work beautifully 24/7)
> For some reason for the past week or so it has had to install an update every time I shut it down, I think something's wrong there.
> For some reason it one day decided that mics that plug into the audio jack just don't work anymore. I know the mic works, but for some reason it doesn't want to pick up any sound. (Seriously, if anyone knows anything about how to fix this, I would really, really like to know. I think it's something to do with Realtek drivers, but I am retarded at these things so...)
>When it is always somehow fucking COVERED in crumbs all the time even though I never eat within like 3 metres of it.

Apart from those, which are for the most part minor complications, I really love it. I haven't even thought about going back to my 360 since I got it. I am so glad I made the jump. It may be more expensive, but may Kyne pierce my eye with an arrow if it wasn't worth it.

I'm pretty happy with my set-up. Though there's minor annoyances, like skype toasts popping up over windowed fullscreen apps. Especially bad when I'm playing dota, as it pops up right over my quick buy items. I've lost thousands of gold by not being able to quickly spend my gold before I die because my mom just logged in.

Occasionally my PC needs to install an update. If it asks permission while I'm playing a game, the first thing I know about it is when it restarts.

This isn't so bad if the game autosaves, but if I've just been say, wandering the Mojave for an hour, it gets rather annoying.

My PC neither cleans nor upgrades itself. What a piece of crap.

But seriously, it works great most of the time. It's just that every few months I notice the fans starting to run louder and more often so I have to open it up and clean out all the dust and stuff. And at 7 years old its starting to show its age, but I don't really want to upgrade it because that's such a commitment (mostly I just don't want to install OS and software and get all the settings on a new machine the way I like them).

I hate how my 360 sounds like it's gonna explode when I start it up. Not sure why it rattles so much but it's done it for a few years now and nothing bad has happened yet. Only does it when I'm booting it up, but damn is it loud.
