What has RF:G taught you?
It taught me that if a man in a tatty jacket wielding a giant hammer runs full speed at a group of highly trained space marines carrying machineguns, *defiantly* bet on the space marines.

Always go straight back to base after blowing up a bunch of buildings. If you don't, the next building you blow up will probably fall on you, leading to your death.

It taught me that an open world game set in what is effectively a sparsely populated wasteland (badlands, anyone?) is not a good idea.

Next-gen technology means it's not just red barrels that explode. Now we can have blue and yellow ones.

Mining another planet is a lot less dangerous than people make it out to be.

And running up a 60° slope is easy...but going up a 65° slope is impossible.

It taught me that a game mechanic for destruction can be much more than a gimmick. It pretty much removes a major barrier between gaming and reality (at least in action games).

Also, I learned that a backpack that lets you slam through walls and into people like The Juggernaut never gets old.

I've learned that the laws of physics be damned when you're breaking stuff on Mars.
