Since Valve are puting Steamworks on the PS3 they should make both L4Ds on the PS3!
Think about it!
How about a PS3 only campain in both games!
And you can do PS3/PC/Mac cross play!
It would come with two discs and maybe a digital extra maybe?

Whats your view on this idea

I see no reason why it shouldn't be bought to the PS3. I don't think a PS3 only campaign is a good idea though. If they make an extra campaign it should go to everyone.

Mostly nice ideas but 2 discs is unnecessary: Blu-rays holds 7 dvd's worth of information

And the PS3 only campaign would get modded onto PC but that's not a bad thing

Left 4 Dead on the PS3? Yeah, it may happen.

Cross-platform multiplayer? Maybe.

A PS3 only campaign? No, Valve usually puts it on all platforms.

Because PS3 only campaign wouldn't enrage their loyal PC/360 customers.
Cross play wouldn't work because people would probably complain that they would be on a disadvantage when facing a PC opponent because any auto aim function would be turned off.
No real reason to add goodies for people just because it's coming on the PC, just the normal game. Why should PS3 owners get rewarded and the other consumers who bought the game on the PC/360 get screwed?

Why would it need 2 blu ray disks?
Also I don't think cross platforms a good idea unless PS3 gets a keyboard/mouse combo.
PS3 only campaign would only get made by the community for PC anyway so that's not really an issue.

I do think it should come out for PS3 though, but if they can get TF2 with all the updates via Steamworks I think that's even better. Don't think cross platforms a good idea though.

I wouldn't say that it'd be worth the extra costs needed to port the games. Especially L4D1- Most people have a computer that can at least run that. As well, cross-platform game play is a serious problem, given the fact that all three games have entirely different coding in different languages. As well, Valve would certainly not make an exclusive campaign. The community backlash would be incredible.
I simply don't see it coming to the PS. I doubt there's enough potentional customers to make the porting costs feasible.
