Scientific definition of the mind thrown aside, what are the worded borders which can classify one as "insane"? Lacking in moral judgment, not able to comprehend a wrongdoing mentally, or just plain absent in the ability to see reality?

And do you believe insanity can be bestowed upon an individual from the world?

There is no one set definition of it these days. Its divided down more into different types of psychological disorder.

Well, you're only insane if you've been diagnosed by a professional, technically...

Not realising that you're insane. If you're sane enough to realise that you are insane, then you must be sane.

Insanity is not a psychological or medical condition. It's strictly a legal term for someone who has a mental condition severe enough to be unable to take responsibility for his actions.

Insanity is when you've been brought to the emergency room in your ninja outfit because, after a long night of climbing buildings and looking for people in distress to come to the aid of, you decided to pop a bunch of your mom's Xanax with a bunch of alcohol. This is not to say that you're sane just because you don't even own a ninja outfit.

I wish I was making this up, and no- it wasn't me.

"Insanity is the repetition of a pattern over and over again while expecting a different result each time." Don't remember where I heard that, but it seems as good a defenition as any.

Insanity is a tingly feeling in the brain, all pins and needles, when all the thoughts in your brain blast off at once to make the neurons go zap things chaotically. I swear, if I hadn't curbed in in the laughter, they would've carted me away. Now I'm mad with a sane face and you can't see me because I'm everywhere you go, invisible in plain sight.

I've had some weird experiences with what I consider insanity, so I've described it as this:

"Not being in control of one's thoughts. To perceive the world around you bizarrely and as something it's not. When normal logic, reason or feeling no longer influence one's thoughts or perceptions."

I'm sure the explanation has plenty of holes, but that's as close as I can describe it.

hmm insanity wouldn't be insanity to the person who is insane wouldn't it..

hannible lector for example, he sees nothing insane with what he does

so i surpose insanity is when ones basic ideaology is different to another persons ideology

or insane is jumping of a shed roof and breaking both your legs because you think your super man, i was 7 cut me some slack

Catch 22?
Yep.
"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
-Albert Einstein
But what about Quantum Mechanics? The wave-particle duality means that you can fire two photons in exactly the same way through a diffraction grating, but they will likely behave in a different (though probabilistic) manner. I guess that was one of Einstein's reasons for disliking QM.
