What is it with all these threads?

This isn't a small forum.
There are hundreds of thousands of registered user accounts.
So it is quite busy. Lots of threads. Constant noise. Chatter chatter chatter.

It's because this site became popular. Thread rates exploded in mid-2008 with the advent of Zero Punctuation becoming mainstream.

Before then, a short-lived thread lasted 3 days on the main page, and the main page would take weeks before a new page was formed in the archives. Now there are over 3000 and no one can tell the rate at which things simply disappear into the unattended and uncared-for history.

Redundant and obvious question that only goes to propagate it's own dilemma. Made simply for the reactions, poor trolling attempt is poor.

Just as haters going to hate, posters are going to post. We have a lot of people and a lot of people like to ask questions and discuss things.

Also the short answer is ZP happened. But I think its a good thing, if things go stagnant they die.
