Trust me when I say that people were still getting high years ago, they just weren't getting filmed whilst they were doing it.

Age and nationality please?
I'm from Bulgaria.
The lack of an age is conspicuous.

I take it you aren't IN highschool and can't make a proper judgement on the fact.

Hell I was hospitalized by a druggy in school THIS YEAR and still don't think drugs are that big a deal.

Back in the 60's my friend's dad was brewing whiskey under the school gym, and decided to set down trails of whiskey on the wooden floor and set them on fire with his friends to see how who would reach the furthest. Predictably, he burnt the gym down and was expelled - now he has a medical degree from the best university in our country and is an honoured member of the community.

School has always had stuff like this going on, and always will. Friends of mine have regularly taken drugs in schooltime & are now going/at university. No-one's really hurt by it, and the gym is still there.

Each generation of kids would do something considered BAD, but the difference now-a-days is how easy it is to invade privacy. It's easy to sneak a cell phone somewhere and take pictures or record video of people without being caught, as long as there's no sound or light to give away that you were taking pics. Throw in the internet and how easy it is to at least temporarily upload everything for the world to see, and the private rebellions of today's generation seem even more rampant. They're just being caught and outed more often than before.

Well, high / comprehensive schools have always had a druggie element to them. Only in my day, they were discrete enough to bunk off before getting high.

But do not fret, OP - druggies will soon end up on the scrap heap of life or in the local cop shop.

CAPCHA: nul points - how cool is that?

You're outraged by high school kids getting high ?

Really ?

I went to a Catholic private school, a long time ago and kids were still getting high, how is that a new thing ?

I finished highschool nearly twenty years ago. I can say with certainty kids were getting high back then. We had the police show up a few times to search the bags of a couple of the kids who were well known as the stoner crew.
