I've got some good things going on for me lately, but not many people to share it with. I was just wondering, has anyone here done anything their proud of lately and want to share?

Personally, I just hit one of my landmarks today - I lost 20 pounds! One day a little over a month ago, I looked at myself in the mirror, and decided that I had let myself go for too long. I quit soda (Hard), cheese (Harder), chips/sugar (Outrageous), and limited myself to 'reasonable' (Pathetic) portions of bread (Which is now all brown) and meat (I'll kill the bastard who decided 4 oz was a serving size). But its payed off, as I hit my first way mark on my way to 220 pounds, 0.57 pounds a day!

So, anyone else done anything their proud of recently?

I warned you dumb bastards. [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17IRN5VO2lVKoirBdk_IBTjcGoNXHoBy4sH6FfX9ePQc/edit?usp=sharing]

Oh, I also contributed some money to the new Bill Nye documentary, but that was more of a gift to myself/Netflix then something I should be proud of, I guess.

Well, I've been writing a piece of fan fiction which recently reached its 1 year point since I started it as well as 130,000 words, 236 reviews, and 325 followers, making it the longest and most read thing I've ever written (that wasn't a facebook post).

I was also awarded the departmental prize for Best Research Project for my dissertation by someone who despite having known me for four years was amazingly incapable of pronouncing my name. Like, I have never heard someone pronounce my name that wrong before.

Grats on losing weight, AccursedTheory. Believe it or not, after the initial struggle, you won't even miss the soda, chips, and other b.s. I keep dehydrated fruit and almonds and/or walnuts on hand when I want a snack.

On topic. I took over management duties again at the newspaper. I didn't really want the job back, and I laid out how things were going to be if I accepted. My boss agreed to my terms, and things have actually been pretty decent across the board. So, I guess in an imperfect world, that's a victory.

I received my diploma for two years of film schoolery and was accepted back for a third. Considering some people weren't asked back, this is something worth being proud of at this point.

To the 7 posts I could see when I began to write this: It's awesome to see peoples achievements! With so much negativity in the world it is sometimes difficult to remain on top of it all and positive! Glad to see some people are winning! :p

OT: Over 5 years ago I graduated as an Officer in the Royal Air Force; I have never lost the feeling of pride from that. Wearing the uniform and rank every day, and experiencing the challenges it brings, is a continuous reward from what was possible the most difficult thing I will do in my life.

Recently? Well, I have my 5th Moustache on the go... and it has grown longer and more managable than all 4 of it's predecessors. I love it! It is even better than the one in my avatar on here!

I have also managed to kick my arse into gear and get fitter than I have been in 5 years. This has boosted my somewhat waning confidence that I had going for me to the point where I recently started to take my top off on the beach - something I have felt to embarrassed to do in several years.

Congratulations man, losing weight is a big deal. Just be mindful not to fall back into bad habits - climbing a mountain takes long-term dedication and effort, but the drop back down can be fast and sudden if you are not vigilant.

Personally, I haven't really made any proud achievement milestones recently so much as I have maintained a consistent and long record of... I don't know how to put it really - excelling at life? My savings are skyrocketing, I'm tearing through my degree plan with mostly aces in every class, and I'm actually getting out and socializing with new people to some extent. None of which are truly impressive in their own right, but I'm sure many of you can empathize with the latter being potentially damn significant.

I'm still an irrelevant sophomore with no life to speak of, but at the rate I'm going, my future looks pretty promising.

There's some impressive achievements in here - well done, folks.

Mine is small potatoes in comparison but it's keeping me ticking over just now: my Let's Play YouTube channel is doing ok, growing slowly (perhaps even steadily!). I'm generally proud of the fun little edits in the X-Com and Resident Evil 2 videos when I've had ideas whilst sitting editing in Adobe Premiere. Episode 1 of my Satellite Reign Let's Play is on the cusp of 10,000 views, which is ridiculous. Would be nice if my 'normal' videos could maintain 1% of that fluke but I'll get there.

Aw damn, a lot of good positive news here. Yay! Perhaps this is a place to go when feeling a little dark and despairing, some upbeat inspiration can spread more easily than most suspect.

Um, I do not have any official documentation for this sort of thing, but lately I have been able to do things on accoustic (they are accoust specific, or electro-accoustic. Impossible on electric however) guitar that I never thought were possible. Skills that I thought only possible in my dreams, but now I can do so much. It feels like an extra limb that I have full control over, yet I am still aware it can grow further.
Alongside that, piano/keyboard skills have been improving rapidly. It is far too easy to learn that I still am shocked at how natural it feels.
Lastly, voice has been finding itself very malleable and easier to control. It has always been the area of least confidence, so I am really pleased to be able to get to the point of fearless experimentation. No one will see until perfection is achieved however.

It probably doesn't balance out the bad yet, but there is still much work to do.

Well, I'm going for my induction tomorrow to learn all about what I'll be doing in my Computer Science course. I'm looking forward to it. After a long hiatus, I'm finally getting back into the flow of things again and doing something I want to succeed hard at. Feels good.

Well... I platinum'd Bloodborne. And I beat the Headless Bloodletting Beast on my second go, which I had heard was one of the hardest bosses. I was quite proud.

I also recently made my first ever Victoria Sponge and it came out rather nicely. Not perfect, there's stuff I'll do different next time but yeah.

I was selected and hired on to doing a work study, and I was told by my boss that I'm going along great. I guess I've made an almost perfect transition in, so yay for that. I guess it makes up all the times that I've been busting my ass and not sleeping.

I've been making awesome progress with going to the gym on a regular basis and I can jog at a pretty good clip for a solid 10 minutes before I feel like I want to die.

Other than that, nothing else much since I live a very boring life. :p

I made a good Mini-Minions Paladin deck in Hearthstone. Won a few games with it thanks to the newest expansion. In Space Engineers I finally got my first ever large ship moving. It's not complete but still a milestone.

In IRL I'm getting more days for work which is good, more days = more pay. This means that soon I can look for a place to stay that is close by.

Pretty much nothing. I've been on a business trip for the last 2 months, and have had very little opportunity to do anything I could be proud of. Not even work.

In fact, quite the opposite might be true. My productivity is at an all-time low, and I just spend my time sitting on my computer. I've barely even left the hotel room today! My exercise has dropped like a stone in indirect proportion to my girth. I'm getting quite eager to finally go home, back to studying and my hobbies. God knows there's lots there that I could do and be proud of.

I made it through another day. Considering my mindset lately, I have every reason to be proud of that.

Besides that, I've been doing pretty good with Samus in Sm4sh For Glory. F-tier character, my ass!
