i loved resident evil 4 because the over-the-shoulder view made you feel lot more INTO the game than the sort of security camera type camera angles of the previous games (not that there was much wrong with that though)

I was torn between RE2 and RE4

Re4 was the first resident evil game I ever played and the moment I started playing I could tell I was on the very edge of greatness, over the next several months I slowly goatherd all the games I could except for "Code Vernocia"(why wasn't that on the list) I found RE2 to be the best of all the old style fixed camera position games. The only reason I picked RE4 was I found the game much scarier then RE2, I know If I had played it when it was first relised I would have enjoyed it much more but I can't. So I picked RE4 but RE2 was such a close second I consider them both to be the best a Resident Evil game can be.

RE4 was good as well, but it was a completely different kind of horror.

Its gotta be Resident Evil 4. I mean, I played through that game countless numbers of times. I can't say the same for any of the others. Except for maybe 5 now...
