The title says it all. What is your favourite weapon/tool in Science Fiction or Fantasy? I think mine would be the Sonic Screwdriver (From Doctor Who).

I am quite fond of the chainsword from Warhammer 40,000. Simple, yet ingenious. The chainsaw has been used in pop culture so many times as a weapon, it's no surprise someone finally decided to weaponize it.

The Kraken. I would have to be restrained from constantly releasing it.

I do like the Polarity Gauntlet from Transformers: Prime. Seems nifty.

The omni-tool from Mass Effect.
It's the best tool ever, it can heal people, hack into virtually anything and it's a communication tool!

And this sucker weighs virtually nothing! and now you can stab people with it!

The magic wand from harry potter. It seems so compact and versitile
However, what I really wanted as a kid was a Sailor Moon Wand.

A Hermit's Cave
Hammer space... what it's a tool, right?! ¬_¬

Ehm... tool: Nakor's sack in the Midkemia set of books... it has a portal to a warehouse so he can nick fruit or secret stuff away...

Weapon: Oh, fuck knows... too many to pick from.

The Psykers in Warhammer 40k. Yes, I know they are people but they are mostly viewed as tools in the Imperium. Every time I read a Warhammer 40k book there are a host of psykers with all sorts of useful skills and abilities.

Your basic psyker can:
-broadcast telepathic messages across time and space like an interstellar phone.
-Read minds.
-Act as a human polygraph test.
-Sunder minds like glass
-Levitate objects.
-Dominate animals.
-Break open doors.
-Locate unseen objects and sense nearby individuals.
-Project a field of invisibility or disguise.
-Set things on fire (or put them out with a little effort).

And those are just the basic features. The drawbacks sort of suck and range from harmless dementia to demonic possession. Still, having a psyker on your side can be extremely convenient if you don't mind keeping an eye on them in case they go completely insane.

Well I guess first thing that springs to mind would probably be the doctors tardis because that would include everything in it, but if we aren't cheating I'd say either his screwdriver, a lightsaber, or green lantern power ring.

What can I say I'm conflicted when it comes to imaginary gadgets
