The final boss in Zeno Clash is pretty unimpressive. First, you've fought the boss before and nothing changes in the way you fight it, second, it's not even that hard.

This douchebag

Seriously, every time I fight him it just annoying. He's not even entertaining in the slightest! It's just a pain in the ass.

The battle against Evrae in Final Fantasy X. That battle took me 50 attempts a few years ago, and I still died because of the soldiers at Yuna's wedding. I tackled it again this year and, after levelling my characters up, defeated him with ease, but nothing has caused me as much trouble before or since.

Wild Arms 3 has lots of great puzzle bosses, but the Huskarls are just obnoxious.

The fight is seemingly designed to waste the maximum amount of time- the game flat-out says they are designed to counter your standard strategies. You must have one character casting a buff and one character casting Eraser every single round to prevent two of them from using their more dangerous attacks like Deathbringer and Brass Zapper, leaving only two of your members to heal and damage your opponents each round. Plus, the fight is repeated once more then repeated AGAIN with the addition of a fourth Huskarl who is even more troublesome. Dying on that fight is just painful.

Fucking Azazel in Tekken 6. How the hell can he block and attack at the same time?!

Ugggh. I just beat that asshole. I had to spend hours level grinding just before the fight. He wasn't such a tough ***** when he came back as a zombie though. Two PDowns to the face, ************.
Haha, yeah! I had to grind for several hours before I tackled him, but luckily I was in a mind to do it and enjoyed learning about the Sphere Grid and battle system, which I hadn't understood before.

The Red Dragon from Demon Stone on the PS2. At one point in the fight, you have to hit the damn thing with a spell but for some reason if you aren't standing in one exact spot and exactly the right distance away from it the spell bounces off him and hits your character casting the spell. The next part suffers the same thing, only this time you have to jump on the bugger to lower his head so your fighter can stab him through the skull. Everything else to that point was gravy, even the last boss in that game wasn't that aggravating. It was trial and error in hit detection at a level I have never seen since and hope not to ever again. It gave me hives, just because I was so close to the end I didn't want to give up then so I kept going in frustration. A close second is the Dragon King in Demon's Souls just because sometimes pillars would block his fire and other times it wouldn't. It was random as all hell at times and ticked me off.
