What is your threshold to differentiate 'some cash' from 'a lot of cash'?

This may seem like an odd question, but I think it's an interesting one. At what number exactly do you believe you've entered the realm of having 'a lot' of money? I'm certain that most people won't say below $20 US, but at what value do you say 'Hmm. That's quite a bit of money right there'?

I personally, being a poor unemployed college student, think that once you have $100, you've got quite a bit of money on you.

Some cash is the price of a drink.
Alot of cash is the price of a round of drinks.
Enough distinction for me.

It all depends on how much money I have.
Going weeks without a pay check, I'll consider $20 a lot of cash.
After a fresh check, however, I spent $300 on a 2nd Xbox 360 and some other stuff, and thought nothing of it.

Some cash is a second hand game.
A lot of cash is 3 new games or any GH/RB.

Or put simply, £1-45 or £45+

Seeing as how I spend all my money on games, I am broke about 90% of the year, so I can only get 2-3 games a year, if i'm lucky. So to a lot of money would be $200 dollars or more.

I had never prior to your acknowledgement heard of this. But I guess it is. Hmm.

I seek to educate. Not surprised you hadn't heard of it before. I used to just call it the "Pile of Sand Problem" before I actually went and looked up exactly what it was called.

Being poor, a lot of cash is easily $20 for me.

I firmly believe in the quote from the tv show Everybody Hates Chris

"A ten dollar bill can fix anything!"

Well, I'm nineteen, just finishing high school, and my friends and I have a pretty clear threshold we agree on.

No money - Only coins or one five dollar note; train money to get home.

Almost no money - About fifty dollars. Anything in the region of $20-50, really. There's a higher threshold for some of us, who usually have more money.

I have money - $100 note, or at least four twenties, because those are easy to change.

This is Australian money, by the way. =)

When you have enough to buy every game I want right now, that is a fuck ton of money. When you have enough to buy one, that is some. The gray area in between I call "Fuck off you inquisitive bastard and roll with it already!"

Once you hit $1000, it's a lot of cash. (500 pounds or so for those of you across the pond.)

As a rule of thumb I'd say about £50 is the threshold. Anything over £200 we call being loaded. When you've got a fiver or less, you're skint.

hmm I guess somewhere about 3 thousand as far as in like a checking account. Or 250-500 K in savings etc. At least that would be a lot to me.

As far as actual in wallet cash 250 would be a "lot"

I'd say personally £30 is some cash. Spending anything above £50 is definitely a lot for me anyway - it'd have to be worth it

EDIT: Buying a few drinks will come into the £30 range, while my £600 PC, the £100 motherboard I bought to upgrade, the £60 RAM upgrade, the £65 1TB external drive, the £120 monitor, the hundreds of quid spent on games, they were all worth it..... hang on a second!?

Well since i can't get a job, I'd say about $150 is a lot of cash. takes a bit of starving myself to get it though.

Half my monthly salary and up is a lot of cash. Comparing this to the answers already in the thread, I'm a big spender.

I've found it's depended heavily on my salary. Currently, I'd consider anything under £30 no big deal and over £60 getting rather pricey.
