What item would you like to see added to Minecraft?

I'm sure someone has posted about this before, but I was just wondering what ideas people had for items/options that they think should be added to Minecraft?

I personally would like to see trap doors added, and maybe editable maps so you can have the option of marking your surroundings to ease exploration. What do you guys think?

A fire extinguisher that puts out all fires in a wide area... yeah some one set my house on fire in multiplayer and i'm still mad about it.

to be honest i would like a lantern, there have been several situations where i had to use all my torches to find my way back home

Personally, I'd like to see more weapon types added. Longswords and bows are already in game, as well as TNT, but what about single stick dynamite (less of a boom), shortswords, daggers, crossbows, claymores, broadswords, scimitars, spears, halbreds, pikes, partisans, battleaxes, ect.

It would also be awesome to have horses like in this one mod that adds many different types, like packhorses (small moveable inventory), or other mounts. THAT would be fun.

Guns. Shields to go with swords. Portable torches, or some sort of lantern. Single-block logic gates for redstone circuits so you don't have to faff about with building your own.

I think great swords would be cool
as well as daggers
like swords in the middle with damage and durability
daggers last a long time but don't do much damage
and great swords being a glass cannon :3

also more mobs of any kind would be cool
OH and a crossbow :3

Or even just a water pump? For a more hidden way of getting water around. I'd love a mountain-top fort with a moat.

Water pipes, like with railroads, just for your water instead.

I find it hard to make water cannals thanks to the fact that water can only travel 7 blocks. : (

i would like water to fill up areas. so say you have a giant hole in the ground there wont just be a water fall it will eventually fill up.

bigger explosives. so like a tnt x 10 or 100 so i dont have to put down as much tnt.

a bonfire. larger fire that gives off more light.

trap doors that fall away if you or a enemy steps on them. probably can already do that somehow.
