I've been talking to friends a lot lately about phones. So what kind of phone do you have and are you happy with it?

Also what do you do with it?

An "LG Dare".

I dislike it. It's a touch screen phone that isn't a smart phone. And it has no internal clock, which means if service dies, my alarm clock doesn't work. And since that's the primary purpose my phone serves, it really sucks when that happens.

Samsung Galaxy S.

Pretty good, battery life is OK, but not fantastic. Otherwise it's a great alternative to the iPhone.

I'm a huge fan of apps, I've got a few, and I play them regularly.

Ah, Well phones can be cheap sometimes. I just got an iPhone because it supports everything i want

Except the data usage, No unlimited ;-;

But yeah, phone plans are expensive these days. I'm paying 70$ a month for 1K texts, 400 Minutes, and 200MB of data

Doesn't feel like a good deal.

A green LG Rumor. It texts, has an alarm. I'm happy I guess. I have a PSP is I wanted to do portable gaming, but I keep misplacing it / carrying it around sometimes gets annoying.

I just want custom ringtones!! Gahhh. Virgin has it locked so you MUST download from them. Grr.

I have a *checks* Nokia N79, it has a physical 12 button alphanumeric keypad so I am happy with that. It has a bunch of stuff that I don't use, and the battery sucks. I'm thinking of moving to a Nokia 3720 or buying a new battery for my old 5210. I like simple and durable phones. I don't really trust the n79 even though I haven't had a problem with it and it has survived a few drops.

Sweet! Me as well. I worked in an ATT call center and seen how many things can go wrong with smart phones so a phone that can't do much beyond texting and taking pictures is fine with me.

To illustrate how irrelevant phones are to me, I worked for a cell phone provider and got massive discounts on phones, and i JUST this past year upgraded to a Nokia 2600 classic.

Yep. My phone is also my most low tech device i carry.
