What makes Red Faction a bad game?

Hey gamers, I recently installed Red Faction onto my computer, played through it, and was reasonably satisfied with the game. Does this make me mad?
I watched a video, by Yahtzee, granted, where he comments that Red Faction didn't do him any favours and scarred him (?) from playing video games, don't quote me on that though.

Comparing what I played through, apart from the hideous textures, expected from a game based around the engine used for Half Life (no Half Life hate intended), and a rather clunky way of getting story elements across, I can't see many problems with it, the story was interesting and... yeah

Though I can understand why Red Faction 2 could be hated...

What are your opinions of Red Faction?

I really enjoyed Red Faction. It had interesting guns, a pretty good plot and it was fun.
Just because Yahtzee [and therefore his horde of fanbois] dislikes a game, doesn't mean you have to.

Red Faction 2 however...deserves all the hate it gets.

The only Red Faction game I have played is Guerrilla. I enjoyed it at first but then it just got kind of boring and repetitive to me. Solid game I would say still, but it just wasn't for me.
