My question is fairly straightforward,

What brings out/has brought out the inner shrieking schoolgirl in you? An announcement for a game you're hyped for? Meeting you favourite Rock-and-Roll group? Let me know, people! I need dirt inspiration!

Personally, I had a moment like this when I saw the first Skyrim trailer. By the end of it, I was thinking, to put it mildly, "Yep, dis gonna be good!"

I'll admit I've "squee'd" from time to time. Usually with "big" reveals/trailers, sudden discoveries or realizations while enjoying a story, or hearing news about something amazing happening to friends or family.

However, the only time I've done so in recent memory is when I heard that not only is Joseph Kosinski working with Disney to make another Tron sequel, but he's making sure they do the story/script right this time, that they don't rush it or cut corners like with Legacy, and that they attempt to bring back Daft Punk to do the soundtrack.

I half expect to be let down again (by Disney and not the others involved), but damned if I'm not incredibly hopeful they do it right this time.

"Third times the charm", right?

I'm such a nerd...

AND PROUD!

My two year old niece! She's an UTTER darling! I'm not wrapped completely around her little finger (I've got too much of a sense of responsibility for that) but that doesn't stop me from turning into goo at her ADORABLE little smile!

So what happens is we play and I toss a ball to her and SHE squeals then she tosses the ball back to me and I imitate her squeal and that just makes her laugh all the more!

I really should have kids of my own someday, but this is better because I can just hand her back to my sister when I'm done playing with the baby and don't have the crushing sense of absolute parental duty where she's concerned.

Minecraft and TF2 always do that to me, but it can be other games, depending on my mood.

Yes, playing the game makes me "squee". Not announcements of new games. Not the day a game comes out. Just playing the game is enough.

Also Chemistry. I'm nerdy like that.

Right, being a cat person myself, I think anyone who says "cats" should still be disqualified and made to think of something else. They're just so adorable that it's the obvious answer.

But, well, latest moment...well, Guild Wars 2 wintersday event...

I'll squeeze him and pet him and cuddle him and take him home and call him George...I mean Fluffyclaws.

Certain bands I enjoy that haven't put out any new material in 6-10 years announcing a new album.

The fact that I can be returned from your graveyard to your hand at the beginning of your upkeep. That makes me Squee.

The moment in Alan Wake when Alan literally finished my sentence:
Me: Ho-ly
Alan: shit.
(I know it's not much but it made me jump for joy)

Also the narration and story line from Bastion. Especially when the girl finally spoke at the end.

Batman arkham city: it think i actually did drool a little too while reading the announcement for this game, i had my eyes set on that collectors edition for months, bought it the day the preorders for it opened. same thing goes for all the dlc to it. this should hardly come as a surprise but i am kind of a fanboy

the secret world goes free to play: i wanted to play this, it looked awesome, it was fantasy and conspiracy set in an urban environment and to top it all of it was Norwegian made (like me), i even knew one or two people working on it. but god damn it, i will not pay monthly to play a game i have already payed for when i bought it. forget it. i figured that if i just waited they would make it an f2p....and so they did, in record time actually.

when Nathan drake started talking to himself in uncharted 3 and i was talking into my monitor at him and what he said could actually seem like he was responding to what i said. freaky but awesome

I have recently acquired a perky puppy, so my days are now filled with squees.

Also with the permeating scent of feces.

1. When Depeche Mode releases a new album.
2. When Dave Gahan walks out on stage.
3. When I learn a new pole trick that I'd always thought would take months to get.

Ive litrally done a squee a few times when a very close friend of mine has done something insanely cute. She is an expert at pulling big puppy dog eyes you see and is one of the most powerful weapons in her arsenal.

Hmm, I squeed when this was released:

When Drakengard 3 was announced, when I might be getting a Black Forest Cheesecake on my birthday. Oh, and when I got C&C: Generals working again.

Oh, and of course this:

Well, recently I discovered the Sonic Unleashed conversion mod for Sonic Generations had been completed. That did it. 23 minutes left on the download!

And similar to an earlier post in this thread, whenever Blink-182 releases new music that pretty much does it for me.

So is that all like forearm muscles? Because I'm sure a lot of teenage boys could easily do that trick (but seriously, how does one do that?)

OT: Not much I really squee for. Sometimes great football plays
