I don't watch anime, but I do watch cartoons. I have Futurama, Simpson, king of the hill, family guy memorized. Love home movies and metalacalyps.
Should I try archer? I have heard good thing.

Update: turns out Archer is the one cartoon named in this thread that I haven't seen. Now that has be rectified. It is pretty good.

Megas XLR, without a doubt one of the greatest cartoon series ever made. Shame there were only two seasons T.T

Yeah, Archer is pretty damn good. In terms of non-comedy cartoons, Batman Beyond and Samurai Jack, both of which recently got put on netflix.

I have to suggest the classic cartoons from the nineties, those being- Rocko's Modern Life, Freakazoid, Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures.
As for newer stuff, Archer is a must as is Venture Brothers. And for superhero stuff, you should check out Young Justice, Batman Beyond and Justice League.

Er, any particular reason you're excluding anime? You're aware that not all anime are like the stereotype right?

Anyway, here's some of my favorite Western animations:
Invader Zim
Daria
Pinky and The Brain
Animaniacs
The Boondocks
The Venture Bros
Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Probably because there have been about seven anime threads in the past few days, and he was getting sick of them?

Down Town, And King, a 2003 series made by decode entertainment it's a very hard to find series I challenge you to try and get that one I've been trying for years.

You should definitely watch Archer, it's one of the most hilarious shows I've ever seen. Considering the other shows you like, you will definitely enjoy its brand of humor. Beyond that with non-anime cartoons, I don't really know. Avatar the Last Airbender isn't technically anime, but looks like it. And personally I've always been partial to the first three seasons of Spongebob, which are surprisingly funny and entertaining for something marketed at little children.

He doesn't watch anime because people have posted threads about them? Seems legit.

Fair enough if he was all recommended out, but he flat out he doesn't watch anime, and he wants non-anime recommendations. Hence my original post.

-OH SCREW YOU! But yeah, I really like most of the shows you mentioned, so you'd probably like Adventure Time.

Also, since you've got Family guy on there, I'd suggest American Dad, which is (in my opinion) much better. I'd give the first season a miss though, since there's only a couple of good episodes and the rest is just kind of meh (especially the pilot).

Justice League (and its sequel) if you like Batman: The Animated Series. Batman Beyond is more of the same.
