I can heartily recommend inFamous. Surfing along electrical cables while firing missiles made out of electricity at people is awesome.

Just to throw something in here; I recomend The Saboteur and Assassins Creed II/Brotherhood. Great games, especially if you like to run around on rooftops and mess up somebodys day.

Demon's Souls if you want a challenge, Metal Gear Solid 4 if you like watching video games as much as you like playing them, LittleBigPlanet if you're into user-created content, really well-done platforming, or just general adorable-ness, and God of War III if you're a real man.
If you're not limiting yourself to the exclusives (it'd seem like you aren't), then I'd suggest the last two games I just played - Arkham Asylum and Fallout: New Vegas. AA was loads of fun, if a little lacking in the story department, and New Vegas is currently blowing my mind. If you played Fallout 3 and liked it, then you have probably already played New Vegas. I'm a little late to the party, but it was well worth the wait.

Talking about exclusives? Certainly get Uncharted and Heavy Rain, and you'll have half the reason the system is worth anything. Then get Demon's Souls (incredibly difficult, but satisfyingly so because it's well-designed to that effect). Then play Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3 if you haven't, so you can get Metal Gear Solid 4.

The Darkness... hands fucking down, i know its a FPS and on console its meh... but turn up the sensitiviy and the auto aim... (i know T_T) but when its taking care off sit back and enjoy a hell of a ride!

While I'll happily recommend Metro 2033 to anyone who cares to listen, I'll have to dissapoint Rikdyou and say that Metro 2033 is only on Xbox360 and PC. However, if you want an awesome shooter wrapped in a fantastic universe, get Metro 2033 on the PC. It's also one of the most beautiful games I've seen in a long while, if you computer is powerful enough, that is. Also, Thaius, if you like the universe of the game, I can recommend reading the book, since it gives a much deeper look at what life in the metro is like. It's quite different from the game, but not in a bad way.Thaius said:
As for other recommendations, I'll third(fourth?) Demon's Souls and in a couple of weeks Dark Souls. We even have a user group here on the Escapist with lots of friendly people eager to help and eagerly awaiting Dark Souls.
For multiplayer, get Killzone 3. A lot of people say it's generic, but the multiplayer of that game is, hands down, one of the best and most fun I've ever played. It's the best I've played since Battlefield 1942, which is saying a lot. The leveling system, the shooting, the different gamemodes, it's all very well put together.

Valkyria Chronicles(fantastic artstyle and surprisingly fun)
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West(not all that long, but a lot of fun)

EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot. Little Big Planet. Get them or if you only want one, the second one. They're really great, especially because of the community and the levels that have been created by it.
