I just spent about an hour in the scary thread...

and I am a squealing little girl when it comes right down to it.

Sigh... Sleep? What's that?

Anyway, as the title says. What scares you and how prone are you to being scared?

Also, what kind of things scare you? And by that, I mean... Well remember the Extra Credits video where they explain the different kinds of horror? Yeah.

Everything scares me but what terrifies me most is noise. Am ambient and indistinguishable sound is horrendous for me.
Funny thing is, I never overtly show my horror. I never scream, I never make an expression and I never move. The most that'll happen is that I blink. But my God, inside my brain I am so easily scared.

and for a bonus, does this scare you?

haha.. i actually felt i tiny knot i my stomach when i noticed your picture yeah.. That face was gnarly..

On point. A thing that scares me is when im driving my car, and i hear a new sound in it i have never heard before.. clonk-clonk-clonk.. That shit is scary!

Also, childrens voices, be it laughter or crying, in horror movies, that is terrifying...

i dont see it... atleast... I dont think I do.

Spiders scare me. heights scare me. Death (more so whats after it) scares me.

thats about it really. as for how prone I am... not often. Only if something gets the jump on me, or if I'm put in the mood.

I would have to say spiders, the hairy little bastards. There's just something about their hairiness that sends shivers up my spine.

I don't get the picture, by the way. Is it supposed to be scary or funny?

I am incredibly easy to startle. Do pretty much anything suddenly and I'll probably jump. Back in college I got pretty good at suppressing my reflexes though, to the point where people thought I didn't get startled by anything. Still it takes me forever to go back to baseline after being startled...

What scares me most? People. No, I don't mean that in a "oh look at me I'm a denizen of the Internet" kind of way. People are unpredictable and that makes me apprehensive.

I'd say I'm reasonably easy to frighten as well, which is one reason why I avoid things of the horror genre. Your pic made me laugh though--is that bad?

Spiders! Even thinking about spiders gives me the creeps and make me start thinking that I am seeing them everywhere

I am terrified of spiders. Anything bigger than a 5 cent coin and I freak out. I'm also afraid of zombies though I'm slowly getting over that fear.

I used to have a phobia of cats and dogs. Made life really hard :S Now I just get uncomfortable if they come up to me. BIG dogs still scare the daylights out of me though :(

Oh and just because they scare me, doesn't mean cats aren't still cute :3

It's weird.

I pretty much lack fear. I have had a psychiatrist tell me it is a problem. I am almost completely without self-preservation instincts as a result.
But at the same time, I'm kind of fucking terrified of everything.

I have paranoia problems and issues with vulnerability, both physical and emotional. They seem to ebb away a bit when I get drunk, but otherwise they are almost debilitating.
I'm a messed up sort of fearless where I could talk smack to a dude three times my size or run into a burning building, but find it impossible to hug or admit even the slightest bit of genuine affection for someone.

I'm pretty okay with this!

I'm not easy to scare as such. Even if I'm uncomfortable because of something I'll still remain calm. On the other hand, anything sudden and unexpected makes me jumpy, not so much out of fear, but as a way to make myself alert I suppose.

I have anxiety issues... means I'm scared of everything, in particular, crowds, phones, unknown people knocking on the door and people reading stuff over my shoulder.

I can dissolve into a panic attack if it becomes too intrusive. On the plus side, I have had a lot of counselling, and now approach stuff in a much more logical and careful way than I used to.

I'm not really prone to fear. Sure, I can be "startled", in that I will react and flinch to things like someone popping out in front of me unexpectedly. Otherwise, I'm fairly stalwart.

Once, during paintball, I took a grenade full of dried peas to save the two guys with me. That was a much worse idea than it seemed at the time, so bravery isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Compared to everyone I know, I am the biggest chicken in our social group, I freak out at spiders, run a mile at wasps, cant watch scarey movies without jumping every 5 seconds and being unable to sleep for a few nights afterwards.... yeah would be shorter to list what doesnt scare me.

Although wierd aside, I love horror games and they dont effect me in that way... wierd... my best guess in the past to this is that unlike movies, its under my control for the most part and its that control that counteracts the horror for me... or im just wierd *shrugs*

Cockroaches. That's about it. I'm wary of venomous spiders, but that's basic self-preservation, not fear.

I have a phobia of cockroaches. Not like "Omg they scare me." A phobia, in the literal sense of the word. I won't go within metres of a cockroach knowingly. As a manly man, this doesn't really appeal to my masculinity. But fuck that, cockroaches!
