what scares you?

since is hallow's eve. i would like to know, what scares you? i don't mean just shocks you, i mean what really freaks you out and doesn't leave you alone for hours?

example: the MLP fanfic "cupcakes" *shudder as memories of gory nightmares return* so, while i fetch the brain bleach. what really gets to YOU?

Really, any biting/stinging insect, but spiders more than anything.

Lonelines, death, some insects, extended periods of pain, going insane, getting depressed, immobility, terrible disease, terrible mutilation, the dark, although that's not as much a fear of the dark as it is a fear of me hitting my head against something cos I can't see, being tied so I can't move, especially straight jackets and last but definately not least, the fear of being there to say goodbye.
