What sequels didn't need to be made?

There are some games that has no need for a sequel but were made.Why?Because gaming companies are cash-hogging suckers.Some games had a conclusive story and yet a sequel was made for them(Bioshock 2,MW2,etc).These games did not need to be made because their previous games were so conclusive.Sometimes it works though but usually doesn't like MW2(wow I've been ragging on that a lot).Now I ask you, what games had a massively disappointing and unnecessary sequel and why is that so?

Modern Warfare did not at all have a conclusive story. It left the world on the brink of a War, and they left the Cliffhanger about Captain Prices's fate.
